It's not just the price that changes all the time, so does the quality Many of these brands don't actually make the cells, they just buy whatever they manage to get the best deal on that week, so even the same model from the same brand can vary quite a bit More established brands are more likely to enforce minimum specs (because they have more to lose), but don't count on it Comment from : @RFC3514 |
I actually bought 2 x ALLPOWERS 400W panels But you also need to buy converter cables and extra cables to reach out to your yard, if you want the power bank in your house I also bought a 200W ALLPOWERS, but when we moved I sold that one on Ebay quite easily I have 3 Anker batteries including a 767 with an expansion battery Comment from : @mahfl22 |
Haze, looked clear as a bell to me Comment from : @mahfl22 |

Really wish I'd seen this before buying the Ecoflow 400 panels - not are they just so heavy but that stand makes it so frustrating Total waste of money as I'm buying other panels now which I can actually use The website is so confusing and misleading regarding these Comment from : @karabroadbent570 |
VTOMan is becoming a very popular brand Can you work a VTOman 400 watt foldup solar panel kit into your comparison? Comment from : @brasspolisher2848 |
As an outsider in the whole solar business it's rather disappointing that not one was able to reach their rated power even as a peak Makes it really hard to not be scammed based on advertised performance So I guess you always have to overshoot your solar goals by almost 40 to actually reach it Very costly and very sad Comment from : @88Spint |
Excellent review, and the spreadsheet with all the data in one easy to see chart is much appreciated Comment from : @Dang_Near_Fed_Up |
Solar panels are crap I bought a 200 watt solar panel from bougrv This piece of crap has never given me more than 108 Watts of input from the Sun They're taking a 100 watt panel calling in a 200 watt panel so they can charge double the price All of these companies do this Something has got to be done If anything you should get more input than the rating I have yet to see a solar panel company put out a panel that gets the solar input it claims I will never buy another solar panel My next purchase will be a gas-powered 2000 Watt generator Solar is a great form of energy but the solar companies are screwing us on the price If people would just quit buying this crap we could get the price to come down Comment from : @CharlieDontSurf1006 |

I have two of the Anker PS400 panels with the Anker Solix F3800 power station I plug one each into the xt60 ports on the F3800, but I have yet to see more than 200 watts from each panel I've experimented with angle and direction, but just getting around 200w per panel max How to determine if they are defective, or if its me? Comment from : @kcvearner |
Just a comment on watering the solar panels Not only are the panels being cooled but I believe the water droplets intensify the sun it receives temporarilybrI had a sun shower that last about 35 min and it happened just after 6pm in late September, when there is normally very little production During that sun shower, my solar produced about 15 kwh On a sunny day without rain, it produced about 6 kwh at that same time of day during the few days before and after Comment from : @frommatorav1 |
It’s invaluable Can’t thank you enough Bluetti’s sold out, and expensive, even on sale Many are unwieldy Are two 200Ws better, maybe? Connecting to a F2000 is a last question Comment from : @Maineuser |
Bigblue is currently £254 in the prime day event couldn't resist even though it was one of the lower performers the price per watt was lower than some of the budget 200w panels Comment from : @matthewhobson2157 |
20c a day is at least a hobby that is net profitable Comment from : @NickWindham |
Great review Perfect information if you need a light and portable panel I prefer the much heavier and way less expensive hard panels Keep in mind that I leave them up for months at a time in extremely windy conditions Keep up the good reviews Comment from : @joeo7257 |
The wind would quickly destroy all of the panels surely this is a demo they would have to be really anchor Ed to be practical Comment from : @ArnoldStafford |
Thanks for making this video Comment from : @TycerGreigh |

Thanks for doing an in depth, concise, mindful presentation I would lean towards the EEnour panel Comment from : @nascar427 |
I've got the Ampura 400w, it has a 3 bracket stands for the 4-panel Comment from : @brianabarca1048 |
Thank you!! Comment from : @firdosvohra4315 |
You should have set them all up at the same time for accurate power output Comment from : @brianrunyon6831 |
The only fair way to test these panels is to do them all simultaneously Solar conditions can fluctuate by a large margin even minute to minute Comment from : @matthewtaylor3301 |
what do you think about FLEXSOLAR? Comment from : @-COBRA |
I think price per watt is not eveything What about durability? If it for example degrades one year later The cheapest watt may turn out more expensive in the longrun Comment from : @-Gunnarsson- |
Were all the connections the same or did you have to use any adapters? Comment from : @GaryHunt-pm6ft |

I get it Instead of watering the grass use it to lay solar for sustaining energy Comment from : @SFCaliofUSA |
I think anker is good but price is high I will prefer allpower 600w panel and not 400w to get more wattage for little less money Comment from : @gagzgugu |
The Anker Powerstation and panel together 1800$ seems reasonable I expected way more Comment from : @Likwidfox |
It would be nice to have the hour / time of which panel was tested Definitely the sun moved during all that testing Comment from : @albertomartin70 |
I bought the Allpowers 600 watts solar panel I only get mostly around 380 watts in full sun As mentioned here durability is very poor Allpowers customer service is bad They will ask you to send videos but in the end they dont back their warranty and product So I now call Allpowers to Lo-POWa Comment from : @mariojalata5259 |
Can I use a thunderbult 100w with a 521 anker battery I just don't get it Comment from : @wextremeart4399 |
I have the ALLPOWERS and I got it for 340€ so about 350$ it's hands down the best foldable solar panel, it is super robust, I have tested in all conditions and I'm getting more power than in this test (330-350W not cooled) Comment from : @Turbo999be |
I have the anker 2000 with one 200 watt panel My ? is can it be used with any one of the 400 watt panels with that adapter that come with it It can accept 1000watt so that would be a total of 600 if can be done Comment from : @bernieluczka |

I have 3 Ecoflow 400W panels I live in Hawaii It is summertime and on a clear day at peak sunI get roughly 265w out of each panel I will try cooling them down with water to see if that helps but I have been very diappointed in them Comment from : @aconcernedcitizen2991 |
I got the Anker 400 when I got my Anker c1000 power station Just looking to add another panel since I can take up to 600 watts an wanted to see other options Comment from : @Elflaco909 |
i found putting the ecoflow case down below the panel is slightly better setup than having it hang from the edge of the bag, slightly above the panel doing in grass makes it more possible to get a flatter setup rather than using the bottom clips of the case Comment from : @dru24334 |
we just hung the all powers 400w suitcase on a fence it gets clear sun all day long here in the high desert in NM so why are we only getting 217 and when i hose it down 275 has been the highest What cannI do to get over 300 ? Comment from : @gailalbers1430 |

I would not call your day hazy They all should be held to task regarding wattage claims Comment from : @sleddy01 |
Probably the best review from portable solar panels I ever seen Comment from : @DroneSurf |
I’m really confused by the conclusion Seems like Ecoflow is the best given that it’s (1) produced nearly the most energy of all the panels, (2) is over $100 cheaper than Anker, (3) is the third cheapest per watt, (4) is backed by an excellent warranty and is just as good if not better than the completion Comment from : @MrLocke-bk3om |
Blah It would be nice if the Bluetti was in stock right now : Comment from : @KellicTiger |
What a great job man ! Just what I’ve been looking for! Comment from : @rant-n-rave7816 |
Now do the small 60 watt portable panels for the little inverters Comment from : @trevorm7013 |
Excellent comparison video, I really hate that these are all so darn expensive, but they definitely would travel well and setup quick compared with less expensive conventional ridged panels!brGreat Video!!!! Comment from : @dannydivine7699 |
