Do you have a pre-assessment practice to gauge students initial knowledge? I am interested in what pre-assessment would look like in a choice based learning environment? Hello! I am a first year art teacher I have watched almost all of your videos, and have a classroom subscription on your website All of your knowledge has been invaluable to me being able to jump right into a TAB teaching style I would love to know more about your process for making observations and taking notes You mentioned you write notes on your seating chart Would you typically have a new copy of your seating chart every time you meet with students? How do you have the littles self assess with a rubric? What ages do you teach? I teach prek-5th and I’m thinking of starting a choice based classroom for just 3rd-5th… do you still do all this with the really young kiddos? Comment from : @missmcguirt2328 |

This is a great video! I'm curious if you enter grades for those other types of natural assessments that you mentioned artist statements, portfolios, critiques, etc and if you have a different rubric that you use for that? If so, do students also evaluate themselves?
