I thought just the same It's very possible Even if it's a damn spectacular camera, he definately overdid it He kept saying blank words that doesn't really mean anything Comment from : @x_x_6__ |

If you your photography requires High Iso and Autofocus responsibility go for the 5D3 but if you only need to shoot at Low Iso and you want more colour richness and overall image quality go for the 5D2 and save a few bucks and get a new lens with the money difference Comment from : @pgomes94 |
No one ever mentions the silent mode or programmable settings c1 to c3 These turn your camera into three different cameras I have one set so my flash doesn't fire even though the flash is on Comment from : @ray_c_yuen |

5DMark 2 kit or 5DMark 3 kit ?
I am a hobbyist photographer n im really passionate about photography, sometimes i do professional work as well
Currently i own a 550D with 18-55kit
100mm f28
50mm f18
Sigma 70-300
I wanna upgrade to a full frame I generally do Portrait, fashion and landscape photography
Is it worth spending that much money if i am not gona take photography as a profession ? if its is,,,, which one should i go for mark 2 kit or mark 3 kit according to my situation Comment from : @ayush31b |

sure you could turn off the IS (which will make your image look good) and use the on board microphone (which is terrible) WTF NOOB? Comment from : @reallycoolguys |
Mark, you're an excellent presenter I just discovered you the other day This vid is so timely for me, because I am about to buy a 5D something I was trying to limit myself to the Mark II, but after this vid, I'll probably go with the Mark III, most likely from Adorama

G'Day Mark How are you doing?
Would you be able to give a comparison video review between Canon 5D mk3 and 1Dx?
Thanks, Binu Comment from : @ngbinu |
FYI: The HDMI out on the 5D Mark III is NOT compressed - it outputs full 1080i However, it is not 'clean', in that GUI elements are visible on the monitor and it is not suitable for external recorders Comment from : @untowardMedia |
But in fairness, D800 and 5DIII both equally great and trade punches here and there Even the marked shadow noise and banding in 5DIII when you overly recover shadows can be dealt with via exposure compensation when shooting Consumers can't lose whichever system they will/already own Comment from : @chrisah1 |
I enjoy my camera but you have to know your video files will look soft and you will need to add sharpening in post Canon designed the video to record softly to avoid moire issues that appear in the Canon 5D Mark ll Comment from : @dphotos007 |

So totally agree! Just shoot!!! Comment from : @iluk92 |
Personally I would only go for the 1DX over the 5D3 if I needed the 12 frames per second, or if money was no object, because you are paying double the money for those fps Comment from : @photographerjonathan |
I really enjoyed this review, very well spoken, I really like that you took images for different reasons to test it, and how you explained what you were checking for, it made me wish that you would do a 5d3 vs d800 review done as good as you did this review, because i want to buy one of those 2 cameras, thanks Comment from : @photographerjonathan |
i would think the 1DX would be a tiny bit better at high iso, and of course the 12 frames per second more than 6 fps, but i think as far as picture quality up to 32OO iso there wouldn't be any difference in the image, but I wonder if Mark would agree with me Comment from : @photographerjonathan |
I have a 7D and want so badly to get the 5D III Since I only take pictures as a hobby 99 of the time though I really can't justify the price I am hoping that a 7D II will come out at the $2500 price point with similar improvements Comment from : @kdw75 |
Thank you for another great review :) Comment from : @matthewcolosus |
Yes, all the photos were taken with the f/4 kit lens Comment from : @MarkWallaceVideos |

Hi Mark and adorama, first of all this was a nice review Comment from : @SHSolutions |
THANK YOU FOR YOUR REVEIW Im sold!!! you dont cover every little detail and i understand but you cover enough for me, I will be getting one or maybe two?:) Comment from : @quickwitha45 |
Pair it with a 24-70 and it's even better :) Comment from : @Edmpotato |
Well you have to consider that many factors that Mark Wallace pointed out It is almost an entire different camera And lets be honest and I'm not taking nothing away from Nikon But canon has higher demand than Nikon You can denied it all you want but it is a fact Comment from : @yreyez |
You have noooooooooooooo Idea what you are missing Comment from : @yreyez |
This review is eerily similar to an infomercial
Comment from : @TCMvideoProduction |
At least on my 7D, the IS is fully functional and does a great, albeit noisy, job of stabilizing the video Just be sure not to jerk it Comment from : @samgod |
hi can do a comparison with D800? Comment from : @czlzy |
i think there is no need for IS when shooting video so why turn it on, save energy, save the world ;) Comment from : @Khalidazizphoto |
the only thing i missed in this review was that information bar on the left like on the shopping channels in TV with the price tag and the number of cameras adorama has in stock Comment from : @Khalidazizphoto |
*better Comment from : @SOEINEGAUDI |
of course they are selling the camera to you if you want to But you get professional info for the product you wanna buy I wish there would be a guy like Mark in Austria/Europe who explains those details Even on the Canon roadshow last week here, I did not get this info Congrats Mark Comment from : @PedroHofmann |
The extra megapixels are a bad thing for many people, including myself I'd rather have bigger photosites than more resolution! Comment from : @Gayhippie420 |
As always, best photo videos on the web Thanks Mark! Comment from : @is1dre |
man what i would do for this camera I really need to upgrade my 40D Studying for a BAA in photography, and im in major need of an upgrade
care to send me one adorama? I love you long time! Comment from : @CatfishSoupFTW |
This is not a review, this is just a plug with real life examples for a product adorama wants you to buy from them Comment from : @palaceplanet |
@adoramaTV did you encounter yellow banding issue? Comment from : @BryanMumble |
You really can't do a "complete" review without talking about competitor cameras IMHO Like the D800 Even if some people viewing this video review might not care like yourself I am sure many others DO Like myself I would have liked to have him mention how the 5D3 compares to the D800 in high ISO as far as details are concerned Some reviews say while the images are cleaner than the D800 details are lost Did he find the same thing Comment from : @AGC828 |
Thanks, Digitalrev's quirky review was fun Interetsing points about the tradeoff at higher iso between sharpness and noise performance in the 2 cameras: mk3 better iso performance but softer output vs D800 poorer noise performance but sharper images Tradeoffs tradeoffs Comment from : @tubelite1111 |
you're an idiot lol Comment from : @iluk92 |
Nice review Mark I'm glad it was somewhat stills photography biased as most reviews these days tend to be more video related I got one of these a few days back and I'm loving the IQ and responsiveness The AF is truely amazing - miles apart from the aging 9pt system on the MkII and my old 50D This camera is a pleasure to use As a stils camera this is a huge upgrade from the MkII People shouldn't get caught up on the fact that the resolution hasn't changed - it's a much better camera Comment from : @AllenCorlett |
Name any DSLR or dedicated camcorder at $3500 that records at 1080/60p at 50-90mbps Go ahead, I'll wait If you want 1080/60p at those bitrates, you're gonna have to spend quite a bit more money for a true professional cinematic camcorder (ie Panasonic P2HDs, Red Scarlet, etc) Comment from : @DCuerpoJr |
But the Mark 3 came out firstBOOM! Comment from : @reallycoolguys |
Mark was so excited talking about this - that means its good) Comment from : @72crew |
It's the Tether Tools Wallee Pivot Stand I've posted the link in the video description! Comment from : @Adorama |
i'm pretty sure the 1dx has been out for a couple months Comment from : @evanvideo |
¡¡Increíble!! Comment from : @flaviopresutti |
What the heck do I have to do to get Canon to send me stuff??? ;op Comment from : @KatherineKellye |
Can we really say that the 5d mk3 took the auto-focus system from the 1DX when the 1DX isn't even out yet? Comment from : @reallycoolguys |
Epic!! Comment from : @leoabreuphoto |
take us out on the street!
Comment from : @ScotPhotography |
Mark, you did an awesome job showing us the potential of this camera Definitely a much better review compare to digitalRev Comment from : @kouasupra |
But he did compare it to competitors by making "best" camera statements And so it may be for the shooting I'm interested in I have no dog in this hunt at the moment; trying to decide on this camera or the D800 Since I value Mark's opinion, I'm hoping he can share it about the D800 before I decide Comment from : @tubelite1111 |
Pretty nice review Thank you
Comment from : @igobyte |
It seems pretty clear to me that Mark is saying 5DIII is better than D800 Comment from : @lovemachine2000 |
Best product review that i ever seen! Comment from : @HakanGil |
Greatest review of the 5D so far Thanks so much Comment from : @NigelNaughton |
Nice review and beautiful camera Some of the language was a bit hyperbolic: "best camera at this price" etc But perhaps true Ignored the elephant in the room, the Nikon D800 Look forward to your review of that camera as well Thanks for your consistently informative and well done videos! Comment from : @tubelite1111 |
Mark is conclusively saying that it is better than it's competition at it's price range This is the best review of the 5dIII that i have seen so far Kudos to Adorama TV team! Comment from : @imboyster |
The pictures look fabolous :D Comment from : @daSenfgurke |
Great review! Comment from : @ToThePointReviews |
well done mark!!!! This is an excellent and most comprehensive review of the 5D Mark 3 to date!!!!!! the other reviews on youtube dont come close to the level of detail you have gone to and provided images to back up your review!!! Makes me happy with my 5D Mk3 purchase I love the camera and low light ability is ridiculous!! I no longer fear shooting at 6400 ISO any more I regularly shoot in little to no light at 6400 and higher!!!! Comment from : @robbyjai |
Dang Mark, I want one so bad! Its too bad I already have the MKII I think i'll be sticking with the mkII for a bit At least until I can afford the MKIII But by that time, I bet a 5D MKIV or MK x or whatever name canon wants to give it will probably be out Unless of course, I somehow win one from a photo competition But I will be going to the local camera shops to play with it often Comment from : @yangboi88 |
Great review Mark! Could you guys do a review of the Nikon D800? Cheers!
Comment from : @carlosplim |
@adoramaTV Mark, I disagree with you I think you've to see it as an upgrade to the MKII When there's an upgrade, it's obvious that it's going to have new things The difference is when it's a minor or a major update In this case, it's a major update
I think the question is more: should you pay that price for the camera? Is it worth? Comment from : @HugoParedes |
I think the grain you are seeing is because of the youtube comprising tech not because of the camera itself Comment from : @Capitalistic_Commie |
