How do we keep benefits based on a learning disability coming? What if a doctor prescribes something and it improves our condition but has a side effect that is probably worse than the learning disability? Social security disability is so dumb when it comes the gray area They talk about if you can keep a full time job you do not need disabled help SSD so dumb in understanding that because they talk about disability all the time they are not letting the disabled person grow They are making the disabled life harder and making it harder on the families I lost My mother a year and a half ago she had heart problems and she was my Social Security Disability payee Social security didn't pay attention for 25 years to my mom heart problems They forced my mom to do want they required and didn't care or ask me want I wanted They talk all the time about what does doctors say but they don't care if they treat me as a baby After my mom died my brother became my Social security payee He is a CEO of a company and he has a very busy life and SSD doesn't care about what my brother needs or wants I always work a part time job but after a year and a half SSD said I worked too much What get me so mad, is that I can only work $128000 a month before taxes I get $1200 hours and if I work on holidays I get time and a half Social Security said That is too much I also work 20 hours a week If I didn't have my brother helping me I would be homeless Social Security disability wanted $140000 back for working too many hours They said, I should told them right away when mom died I didn't tell them because they don't care who does it For Social security disability all that matter is having someone filling out the forms every month Who care if your money is controlled my someone you don't know I told SSD that I didn't want in the future a SSD payee and SSD said that I would have to pay from 1993 -2019 money back because they said that I was never disabled I am very happy to me off SSD because I work at Safeway For 15 years Now I have a fulltime job Comment from : @barb227

There are a lot of factors If you go to one of the best public schools in a rich neighborhood, the teachers might cast a student to the side because they are too lazy to figure out that there could be some kind of unrelated issue That same kid might go to an other school and beat out the other students Among other things, teachers are the ones who classify a student as LD but most teachers will have a hard time admitting that they just do not have the skills to handle every child that comes into their room, especially with 29 others to manage Comment from : @damcinnes

This is so wrong I suffer from a learning disability all my life I can't keep a job because of it I was in speacial classes from kindergarten all they way through high school I'm not good at any subjects i struggled in them all I have ppl read me the applications and help me fill them out and have ppl help me with my change but because i can hold a conversation for 3 minutes i get denied SSI every time I apply yet i cant find or keep a job because of my learning disabilities Comment from : @aprylc3296
