Ranger Nick, I ve visited and revisited your talk Always been on my mind since I watched it I really wish I was there or in one of your classes My key word for finding this talk again was turtle Shelly 😁 , it stayed with me along with the sticker ex-shell-ent! As a teacher myself I would put LOVE on the line and I really think that love is what makes us do everything you mentioned, all the four points Not judge our kids , build them up, help them believe, inspire them to be and do more , making them realize their worth and power Love and respect, the principles Lord Jesus taught us should be in every class our children go to I hope and pray that my two daughters have teachers who love respect and care enough as you said to be good teachers and to build them up the way slwe should all do with each other outside the classroom We teach each other every single day and are taught every single day All the best to you Nick❤❤

I remember how my karare instructor would gradually get senior belts to assist with instruction and give feed back as required At 2nd dan I could take his classes if he was away, a clever dude Sometimes thevfeedback from the class was brutal, a true learning moment

yeah, i will never forget my Grade 2 teacher who took care of me when I got sick in class She took me home cuz their house was near the school and that's all I could remember from her - that she took care of me when I got sick in class I felt like she was my grandma That is how I came to love teachers and want to become a teacher though it never occurred to my mind when I was in university Also, my teacher who fought for me to join the national drawing contest when I was in third grade was and still is very memorable for me My teachers let me feel like I'm special My grade 2 & grade 3 teachers let me experience what it means to be loved and cared for

Thank you for your awesome approach to our often challenging profession I love your five steps & use them daily with my students & yes, caring is the absolute essential that should underscore everything we do My most influential colleagues have been those that cared enough to keep learning I am approaching the end of my teaching career now after thirty odd years and, assuming my body doesn’t give up first, I know exactly when the right time will be It will be the day I stop learning how to do it better At this point I’ll probably be about 320 years old when I walk out of my classroom for the final time Thank you for your passion for what you do!
