I've been toying with the idea of buying/stacking the MUCH cheaper 24 oz 900 gold coins (like the Liberty Head half eagle) vs the cheapest 9999 1/4 oz phils/Britannia etc Since they are both close in weight, in your opinion would you sway either way, and maybe why-- or maybe a video on this? Thanks Heist! Comment from : @Eli-qr9hc |

People will buy a tenth Oz too Comment from : @richardnettemeyer463 |

I’ve been stacking silver since 2017 and gold since 2018 I stated stacking 5 gram gold bars in 2019 I realized the premiums for 5 gram bars are almost equal to 1oz gold I’m stacking for as much ounces I can yearly I found I can stack up to 2oz’s of gold a year by buying 5 gram bars once a month It takes 31103 grams of gold to equal 1 Troy oz of gold I usually buy an extra 5 gram bar in the 2 months I get a 3rd pay check The premium for 5gram bars is almost equal to buying 1oz gold coin SD bullion 1oz buffalo is $2875 and for 6 5gram gold bars us $2946 is a $71 difference Acquiring 2oz and 10 grams of gold I will buy a 10 gram bar when my finances let me Comment from : @kennyt8016 |

People are so worried about getting a deal, watching the price fluctuate Your fiat is garbage, PMs are money Comment from : @TheRealBalloonHead |

Any chance you could include 1/10 gold coins as that is what I am buying monthly 1/10 Britannias Comment from : @scottgeason3660 |

Be interesting to take inflation into account for sitting on cash over the year as well Real inflation from shadowstats Comment from : @jeffee1933 |

Just Sold some 1/10 oz gold cowboys to a local shop and got absolutely screwed If i buy fractional again 1/4 would be the only id buy, the premium truly screws you Several months back I bought the gold 1/10 oz cowboys for $258 each when gold spot was $2,289 I sold to a local coin shop at $2,611 spot, and they bought the coins for $240 each! Did ai get screwed or is it just me? Comment from : @mrwestssuccess5814 |

Here in the UK Sovereigns are sold barely above melt Combined with the CGT advantages it's a no-brainer to buy fractional over a 1 Troy Oz Britannia Comment from : @gunnargundersen3787 |
|
|
I’m only available to buy gold fractionally if I actually want to buy gold 😂the higher premium is the price I pay to have it today I need that instant gratification of my fiat dollars Comment from : @clintoncampbell236 |
|
|
I could swing 1 oz a month but I’d have to lower my cash savings contribution, 401k, and company stock investments to do that and since I look at PMs as savings not investments, I can’t bring myself to do that I look at PMs as the “ultimate” savings and wouldn’t plan on selling until retirement Since last year I’m a 1/4oz a month kinda guy Comment from : @Convoyman2004 |

When silver was at $25, I stopped buying I told myself that the price would most likely go down even more Boy, that was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made!! Comment from : @scotts1356 |

I’m buying 1/2 oz AGE once a month, that’s my sweet spot 👍🏻 Comment from : @Timmerd888 |

How about purchasing silver until you can trade it for gold vs 1/10 ounce? Comment from : @chrisblanc663 |
|
|
I started off adding (and still do sometimes) the 1/10 oz gold coins to my silver stack, but started adding 1/4 oz gold coins (whichever was cheaper) over the past 3 years IMO I feel it would be easier to liquidate in a hurry than an ounce of gold Even though I am starting to wonder about room for my silver, I am still in favor of the 1/4oz vs 1oz gold coins Great vid Heist! Comment from : @Eli-qr9hc |

The average 1oz buyer should be the average price only from December, if you’re saving, you don’t have enough until December Comment from : @Setheth |

Good analysis, sir, and really interesting However, because the 1 oz buyer must save up, his purchase will ALWAYS be delayed until the end of the 1/4 oz buyer's 4 coin purchasing cycle Because gold usually trends upward over long periods of time, this gives a pricing advantage to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd 1/4 oz purchases, at least statistically Just consider this scenario over the past year: I'm pretty sure you would have been better off buying each your 1/4 oz coins at the the of each quarter than waiting until the end of the year when you could afford your 1 oz coin, even factoring in the higher 1/4 oz premiums Comment from : @davidylyl01 |

|
Interesting analysis, thank you!brbrPersonalIy, I go about this a bit differently I love the idea of fractional gold because full ounces seem a little bit unaffordable I also like the higher liquidity of smaller gold coins On the other hand high premiums are not my cup of teabrbrMy solution has been to stack Mexican 20 peso gold coins, the premiums are low and they come in at 15 grams, which is just under half an oz Plus they are beauties to behold! Fractional gold coins are less likely to be faked Comment from : @Patrick-kt5mc |

Great video SH One thing I like about using findbullionpricescom is they tell you what the premium is on the prices they list! I'm a big fractional fan! Comment from : @TalkingBullion |

Great analysis my friend Very cool and you are right In the end, a full ounce of gold is had Comment from : @SalivateMetal |

|
I think that the current price rises are best case scenario for the fractional gold buyers If the prices stay high, the 1 oz buyers will overtake in their savings! Comment from : @AY-qf4pg |
|
|
My goal is to add something every month or two due to ever increasing spot prices and inflation and the devaluation of the dollar So fractional is the way for me I’ll go between 1/10 & 1/4 Don’t know if I’ll get a full ounce again Comment from : @markh1324 |
|
|
I’m rather into buying what I can afford when I can and often 1/4 is a good place to buy However eagles I think have too high of premiums that won’t be earned back Other bullion coins I think are better buys Thanks for sharing! PiFS 🐀 Comment from : @TMAM123 |

Set your personal goals, buy what you can afford, even it´s just a single oz of silver And don´t forget to sell or trade a part of your stack when the time has come Fingers crossed, and good luck ! 🤞 Greets from GER, U Comment from : @fareast_de |

I started buying Gold many moons 🌓 ago, and I always hoped that its value would increase exponentiallybrHowever, not until I retiredbrI’m very blessed and thankful to have purchased what I have at much lower price levelsbrSo for me at this time I by a bit of fractional here and there as I’m able or should I say willing 🧐🤨 Comment from : @bullionaddict9164 |

If it takes you a year to save $2500 the spot price is now higher than the premium a year earlier, gold is rising quickly buy what you can afford I own fractional Comment from : @RobertHarrison-b9r |

What you fail to mention its easier to resell 1/4s and may not want to cash out at 1 full oz prices1/4s give way more options Comment from : @JustinM-dv2zw |

It's an interesting breakdown I generally like the one ounce because I dislike paying premiums (also because I like the gold Buffalo and they no longer make those in fractional sizes) That said I often buy the 1/4 ounce size because it fits into my budget I agree that no matter what size you buy you come out ahead Comment from : @TheQuickSilver101 |

Quarter ounce is my favorite fractional gold coin size There’s something special about the full ouncers though! I’m buying the sale Monument Metals is having on their 2006 Proof American gold Buffalo for nearly the same price as a business strike! Comment from : @michaelangelobergeron5980 |

I buy a 1/2 oz AGE each month and pretend that I just have big hands when I hold it 😂brbrLove the full oz, but my five kids still expect me to put food on the table a few times per day 🍽️🥗🍗🥓🤷🏻♂️ Comment from : @theenglishprofessor8411 |

1 oz of gold is more than what I get in social security in a month so gold is pretty much out of reach for me Comment from : @billseymourjr5472 |

Never quibble when it comes to Gold, what are you going to do with a 1 oz gold coin if you have to barter or trade it? That's why people buy fractional gold Saving 50 or $60 on a 1 oz gold coin Won't make sense if you have to barter or trade it, what Would you expect to get for a 1 oz gold coin?? I recommend people buy Royal Canadian Mint 1/10* 5 In assay, it's only 1287 and it's 9999 gold, 1/10* 5 Comment from : @ColorOfMoney7 |

I love these videos Comment from : @floridastacker |

The days of buying full 1 oz gold coins are over right now for me Last September was a nice surprise so sometimes having a nice savings is wise, but it’s getting harder and harder each day to get by 1/10 gold for me until we see a significant dip Thanks for the good videos Comment from : @Kenlydford |

The only way to loose is to not try Fractionals for the win brThe time someone saves $2600 with inflation, they only have $2400 left and Golds up another $100 🥴 Comment from : @dontask8979 |

I really like the 1/4 oz fractional, with the current high gold price I can see a liquidity issue with the full oz VS fractional gold if the time came to sell Comment from : @DS-tt9vz |

I started buying 1/10 oz AGE back in October Total spent on the 10 coins $2501 I went to my LCS and traded them in for a 1oz AGE coin which he had priced at $2600 I also purchased a 1 oz Gold Buffalo just because I wanted it Price $2625 I think dollar cost averaging works Comment from : @charlieflores9963 |
