This is not entirely correct Schools use what is called a spiral curriculum In 4th grade kids might learn the basics of American History In 8th grade they learn it in more depth And in 11th grade they cover it in even more depth No student is exposed to a metaphor once and expected to know it for life or the order of operations in math

I think this video might be my favorite across all amazing videos from this channel As a language learner, I have been listening a lot of tips and lessons from polyglots, and the key of their success is, likely, repetition Establishing habits around the things you wanna keep in mind, learning new things and revisiting previous concepts is the "secret" of lifelong (and maintained) learning Not just for languages, but for anything, I guess

As a teacher I experienced numerous times during 'teacher training' and 'professional development' the instructor handing out some papers, or talking about a book Invariably if I read the hand out 2-3 times waiting for the class to begin, or if I read the book a second time - I understood more about what they were paid to teach us than they did What's worse than sad, pathetic, is that it wasn't that difficult to read and re-read until understanding (What's absolutely ridiculous is how much money I made from books and articles I've read There is a downside The money is good, but you don't have a feeling of accomplishment because in the end it wasn't at all difficult You have to challenge yourself in other ways)brThe first day of teacher training, I sat through a three hour lecture and took notes while someone with a PhD in education lectured Their first words? "These are the most important theorists of education, while I haven't read their books I've read about them"

Empirical secularists, or secular empiricists of all people should be precise with their language, that is assuming you're an empirical secularist, or secularist empiricist, and if you are not an empirical secularist, or a secularist empiricist, or just a bit wooly in general, you can be as imprecise as you like and still sound profound, and sometimes even be so!
