I'm 58 and in Arkansas I've never known a single person that has ever leased a car I am told Arkansas has some horrible lease laws but am having trouble confirming that Even when I talked to a dealer I got very little real information I'm told in Arkansas you must pay sales tax on the entire value of the car up front and I'm told if at the end of that lease you trade it in for another you don't get the sales tax credit for the trade in value like you would on a purchased car Google is very little help with this or I'm a horrible researcher, not sure which

I still think leases are dumb unless you’re super rich And if you’re super rich, why not just buy a vehicle so you can do whatever you want with it? brbrIf you’re trying to be smart with money, it’s far smarter to buy a used car with cash than consider leasing a new vehicle vs buying a new vehicle If a car is new, unless it’s super nice rare and special, it’s going to depreciate fast if you own it And if you lease it, you’re paying for a vehicle you don’t own after the term ends

Fun fact: right now (June 2024) in PA, if you are a Hyundai dealership employee, you can get a 2024 Ioniq 5 Limited AWD ($59k MSRP) for a 13 month, 12kmi/yr lease for $390 due at signing, $390/month including taxes and fees They are saying an assumed residual of 68 in 13 months This seems like crazy, but it makes sense considering that it seems like consumers start thinking of the residual value of EVs MSRP - the EV tax credit So the breal/b price of a Limited Ioniq 5 AWD isn't $59k, it's roughly $515k, meaning the car would have a more realistic, if not super great 1 year residual value of 78 Same goes for all EVs, currently A lot of people tend to think EVs are a horrible idea because, "oMg tHE rEsIdUaLs ArE teRRibLe!!!" but the payments, the savings in gas, and the nicer features you get with the EVs on the market (at least speaking of my own products), I am more than confident saying that the notion of EVs being a terrible move for the auto industry is just negative hype that doesn't actually amount to anything

Thank you for making this video As a result of watching this I was able to lease a 2023 Kia EV MSRP of $47K for $250 per month for 36 months with 0 down For anyone reading this, the key to finding a deal is to look for dealers with tons of 2023 and 2024 EV inventory The residual value on the lease was 65 which also helped You might be able to do even better I am in Texas and you have to pay sales tax on the entire purchase price not just the lease payments

It's been a week with my new KIA Niro EV!! As it's the top trim -- Wave -- loaded to the gills (which I didn't pay for), my 36-month 10K miles/year lease is LESS than what my 2022 Hyundai Kona lease payments were Very happy so far and as the EV was sitting in the showroom for 8 months, I got an INCREDIBLE deal! Yes, it's about $350/month, but that's for the top trim AND KIA dealer took my Kona and I won't have to pay disposition or any doc fees to end the lease early (5 months left on my Kona lease) Yes, the dealership added on "dealer markup" and Nitrogen air in the tires, but took all the dealer add-on crap (floor mats, mud guards, VIN etching, etc) OFF the final Capitalized Cost And I verified this before signing the lease contract!!!

I called few dealers near me for the $199 deal on Kona EV sel None of them gave me a quote near the advertised price Most of them are around 2x (yes 2 times) higher than the advertised fee and blamed fees I know there are fees and tax, but it can't double the cost of the lease Seems like bait and switch ads to me
