i always wanted to know this, because there are a few Rich Politicians in my country who opted surrogacy and i find that their babies are somewhat of slightly different color i was wondering if there is an effect if the mother is of different race, though these people are rich, i dont think they will just agree that the only real gene donor is one(father) and the surrogate is the other, most probable if you are rich is that you will opt for gestational surrogacy, however, i have observe this that the child is somewhat of different color, makes me think that the surrogate mother will pass her gene onto the child correct me if im wrong but i have examples of who these people were

Even with Gestational surrogacy, the surrogate will be related to the baby via dna Though her egg was not used she carried the baby and will be the one to breastfeed the baby and it is general knowledge that breast milk contains the dna of the women hence the baby will be related to the surrogate when blood tests are done

In my country, this is actually illegal Because the law states, whoever gaves birth to the child is it's legal mother There was even a case when after an IVF mix up, the woman couldn't get back her own child, because she didn't gave birth to it, no matter if she was genetically it's mother
