I am taking banjo lessons and have taught myself the claw hammer “boom-chick-a” strum My instructor recently told me I need to pluck the strings for other notes In your opinion, is this correct? My concern is that I will learn a little bit of the claw hammer style and a little bit of the bluegrass style and not have a proper foundation of either Thank you very much for the video
