Is there a sweet spot for heating up the mold prior to pouring? I started putting them in my forge to heat them up, but still getting a lot of cave in after the pour Also a lot of pitting inside the bars when i mill them out Any suggestions? Do you flatten the back side of your coin pours?

love the coins mold they came out great, Good idea on the chess pieces though it would be cool if you make a mold for checkers too still waiting on the new double sided coin molds though they are greatone more thinglol when r u going to start makeing your big cast iron molds again?
