I need a backpacking camera but the Rx1007 is 5 years old!! For $1300! really?! I have the Canon R6 Mkll Totally happy, but it is heavy I want the Sony but not a five year old camera for that price! Sorry Will wait for Canon to figure it out

So, for a beginner who wants to start learning photography, and loves to travel, but don’t want to buy two separate cameras yet, which one would you recommend? A point and shoot, or a mirrorless like the Sony A6400 or Lumix S9?

I have been using tg3 Sony RX100 ( both lV & vll) and is a great travel camera The image quality is is very good 8x10” enlargements are really good The downside is the ergonomics and Sony menus The controls provide exceptional control but there are so many it is sometimes hard to find them I have a 600 page how to Manuel but is still tricky to change on the fly It does have 3 preset menus you can save on the top dial which can help you 80-90 of the time This is a true pocket camera and if you can walk all day with this in your hand with a small wrist strap brAnother alternative is the Fuji XS20 or the XT5, small hybrid cameras with 26 and 40mp respectively, IBIS and interchangeable lenses

RX100 mark VIII needs a APC-S sensor and IB stablization with a little bit increase in size which would be totally ok to accommodate these changes

I used cannon camara for years I want a light compact camara for traveling and leaning toward the R-50 Since I am not a professional photographer I think this camara fit my budget

DJI Osmo pocket 3 looks cool, is it possible to disable the blurred background? I noticed when compared to the Gopro hero 12 the full capture on the gopro was more desirable I need a camera with video like the osmo but be able to take nice photos too

I usually love your videos but can’t agree with you on this one Travel cameras are suppose to be light weight and small in size, most of these cameras are neither Sony R1007 & Canon R50 definitely are travel cameras & LUMIX s9 is a maybe but only with the 28mm, with other lenses it becomes bulky again

Xs20 and xt50 are also a great option for lightweight APSC camera Combine with sigma 18-50mm f28, these are quite light and capable setup

Incredible List!! Can't believe the Sony ZV1 isn't listed Im so blown away by its capacity to capture Full HD 240p Videos and its Log profiles!! Also, I shot so many incredible portraits on it! I even prefer using it over my Canon R6 from time to time!!! brEnjoy your day!!
