Fiat is mainly based on trade partners, military/civilian assets, property, gold and oil Never take handouts from the government Especially don’t get mad at the gov when they increase interest rates because you chose to take the easy way Doing dead end jobs, for low pay is a blessing in disguise You not working is enabling goal driven immigrants who I hope you don’t hate to steal our jobs pushing homegrowns out of the entire picture If Canada or the states digitalizes money and cash no longer exists, all crime money will either flood to gold, or other assets and it will most likely affect our currency in a bad way as a flood of old laundered money floods back into circulation Our governments are litteraly doing everything they can to keep people happy without thinking of repercussions and you need to be able to see these things It’s bad that we now think gas is low in Alberta at 130… I remember when kenney got rid of carbon tax it was around 69 cents for almost 2 days I’ll bet the carbon tax and pst/gst in bc alone for transmountain was around the cost of initial projected cost of 7 billion dollars… but the government is still able to provide dental plans for people who have never been able to afford that luxury I don’t know what to think of pollievere and I sure don’t like Trudeau but I know I could run this country pretty well if given the chance If you choose to be minimalist just know that you are effectively taking away money from the global economy and our trade partners as most nations are built on a capitalist/disposable economy We need to litteraly transform our entire way of life from oil and gas to nuclear fusion solar and wind, better hydro for this new utopia automated life to work I can see the labour force being done by robots controlled from the comfort of your home or beach by humans AI is great and can easily be regulated with hoards of programmers Oh and our infrastructure will rapidly start failing just like a miled out gmc Best wishes to everyone and be kind, keep your head up and nod your head to everyone you see that shares the same land as you and pay it forward We need to unite as nations to be ready to fight back when the bullies want your lunch money If you want badass kids that are born leaders, introduce them to extreme sports and get them working part time as soon as legally allowed Always remember most jobs stand for Just Over Broke Let them embrace the suck and figure out ways to make even more money

I'm not sure what the problem is We've agreed to print fiat money (though our government and central banks) and use it to make payments, and it works pretty well - except for Venezuela, Mobutu's Congo, and the Weimar Republic But you do need an independent central bank with credibility Gold is too volatile and speculative to be money
