Fiat "money" always degrades untill it is eventually WORTHLESS! The examples of History have proven this out many, many timesbrThis is why, our "Founding Fathers" put it right in our CONSTITUTION that only "Gold and Silver coin" would be allowed as "Legal Tender" for payment of debts!brThus, untill the time of the Civil War (1860's) the federal government NEVER ISSUED paper money!brAnd when I was just a kid, right through 1964, our government issued coins of 10 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents, and $1 were made of 90 Silver!brStarting in 1965, they issued no more 90 silver coins and thus began the Doom of our once mighty Dollar Comment from : @robinj9329 |
