I retired 7 years ago at age 62 and began taking back my Social Security at that time So far my total income, not including SS, has been zero dollars I took the definition of "retired" serious The first definition for "retired" is no longer working 😁

I watched this video with great interest as I received unused vacation pay and a prior year’s bonus in the year I started social security, which was also the year I reached my FRA I read the SSA publication you referenced Per that publication, I contacted the SSA They informed me that I needed to have my company’s HR department fill out Form SSA-131 (Employer Report of Special Wage Payments) They use this as proof that your income for that year is not to be counted against the income limits Thanks for all your excellent information You have made dealing with retirement much easier for me You have one of the best channels in this area on YouTube Also thank you for restarting your podcast That is also excellent

Question, if I retire at 625 can I stop work in the same month that my SS begins ie I stop work on June 15,2024 and my first SS check comes at the end of June 2024, but my paycheck for that work is actually received in July does that count as special pay? ( I cannot exist for an entire month without pay so am trying to time my exit from work with the month I will receive my first check

As soon as you retire or get hurt on the job you'll figure out that your life is over Because you have little to no money to live and if you make enough extra money to live because you were forced to go back to work Social Security wants your money back 🤯
