Im attending a HBCU for my BSW I have to say I love it I like my professors and because I’m doing so well in the program my professors have given me some task outside the normal class assignments For example, we had an advocacy day event, and my professor asked me to contact our government officials to set up a meeting with them and of course I was able to reach out to several of our government officials We were only able to see one of them in Raleigh but I was glad that I got a response from everyone I reached out to, and my professor was very happy with the results so I was able to help them out I’m in my last year of the program I graduate in December I plan to get my doctorate in social work in because I am disabled I want to work with people who are disabled and I want to be able to counsel them especially people who are newly diagnosed with certain disorders are conditions to let them know that even though you are disabled, if you want to do something that you’re Disability shit not stop you from doing what you want to do do
