I used my camping inverter generator It's a 120V and running is 2100 watts Needed a ground bonding plug and with the 120V adapter at the 12 amp max (1440 watts) on my Model Y I got 4-5 miles of range charged per hour

It’s not the volts alone that set the time of charge for the car, it’s the available amps, watts, that set the speed of the charge Max amps on 120 volts is 20 amps, 2400 watts max at the wall or generator outlet Max amps, typical on 240 volts, 50 amp outlet is 12000 watts Big difference

For the Volt the default set up is 8 amp , you have to manually change it to 12 amp in the menu
