Look, the fundamental principle is right, but the profit margins of companies right now is going up brIf the price of nessecities is forcing companies to increase prices of their goods, the profit margin would remain the same:brCosts a business 2 dollars to make, charges 4 Profit margin 2$brbrBut there is certainly gouging going on right nowbrCosts 5 dollars to make, charges 9 brProfit margin $4brbrIn an inflationary period, the increase in price wouldn't correlate to increased profits and an increased dividend, as we are currently seeing

"Plenty of shells" is perhaps the greatest comparison made in this video The people didn't lack money in the crisis as much as they lacked a supply chain Inflation sometimes maybe gets money into people's hands(Keyns) but it doesn't increase supply to meet the upscaled demand whatsoever leaving shelves unstocked
