@TheCowardlyLion
Now, 1/2 way through February, and the SSA site doesn't have my updated salary information for 2024 Is there a specific time that it takes for that to appear? I do have last year's SSA statement, but I'd like to compare as I get closer to finally walking away from work since it should be getting closer and closer to the accurate numbers Thanks for all you offer! You help make the muddy water clearer!

Comment from : @tomcriscenzo7333

@tomcriscenzo7333
I’m sorry Dr but do you know the reason for why Government had to create a Social Security Trust ? And how it is actually funded? Can you also cite the full lawful authority that created social security trusts in the name of the beneficiary along with a numbered account identifying the named beneficiary? These are simple legal questions…
Comment from : @tomcriscenzo7333

@burtonlandman3456
Ed, I begaan receiving SSA retirement last March when I reached FRA but have 24 zeros for income from 1997 to 2020 Fortunately I had 26 years of income of the 35 yearsThis year my IRS tax return shows I made $70k QUESTION: Will SSA automatically ADD my 2024 IRS AGI of $70k into one of my zero income years? I know they won't index it but will it increase my monthly benefit payment? If so how long before SSA adds this and increases my SSA benefit payment? Thanks
Comment from : @burtonlandman3456

@johndillon5488
Once a person reaches full retirement age and begins collecting SS Does continuing to work at increasingly more $ per year, increase the monthly SS benefit? Or is it locked in once monthly full retirement age benefits are started? I watched the video twice and didn't see this addressed Thank you!
Comment from : @johndillon5488

@jerihillken
The estimate projects the 8 per year, but not the COLA, correct?

Comment from : @evakukielka8215

@billcorey4328
I believe what you said about if you quit working early that your Social Security payment will change I think you should say that once you have 35 years in working years into Social Security, it doesn’t matter anymore It’ll go off your five highest years, so long as you got five high years that you’re comfortable with correct me if I’m wrong or please help me with this understanding
Comment from : @billcorey4328

Comment from : @LindaDubbe

@jimmyfowler2320
I’m not criticizing you on some of what I read from others my question to you is why wasn’t you providing this when you were working with social instead after you retired and I know most of you don’t like what I text but this is Adair question and if you and others don’t like what I ask don’t read we’re all entitled to our options you might not like mine and I think you believe everything you read
Comment from : @jimmyfowler2320

Your video's are very informative, I shared with my family and friends I was very appalled the other day at ss office, watching the Manager snatched all the numbers from customer's, told them they had to leave and call the number to make an appointment to be seenyour absolutely right they're lazy, unprofessional and don't want to work Thank you again, everything you said is 100 true!
Comment from : @michellethomas4071

@gafairbanks2434
What they don't tell you is, they will penalized you for not retiring at 62 or 65, whatever they state, at receiving your check, they take out their penalty $ amount for years from their stated year you should have retired!
Comment from : @gafairbanks2434

Comment from : @MartyGeheb

@jeffreyg201
Why no mention of SS looking back at your last two years of income and if they are zeros they assume that you are earning zero currently and going forward? So the $ amounts shown on your SS statement should be correct? Right?
Comment from : @jeffreyg201

@shelleyclay1732
Do you have president trumps phone number, he needs to know that workers need to work longer hours because of the increases in rent and food, the 23,400 is not fair do you all understand that you want to take our check from us if we go over that amount, look rent is 1,500 most seniors didn't throw mail around and make 100k a year so we don't get a big check ok
Comment from : @shelleyclay1732

@cathleenwedlake4705
I was forced into retirement during the crash of 2008 at age 58 I worked in the Newspaper industry for 42 years No one was hiring at that time In spite of drawing unemployment while looking for work, I struggled When that ended, and still no employment, savings exhausted and no job, I filed for my SS early when I turned 62 I am currently 75 and would have loved to wait to file, but it didn't work out that way Take it from me, please wait to file if you can Because I am struggling and so will you if you don't wait to file for your SS Work as long as you can
Comment from : @cathleenwedlake4705

@AngeliaMcbride
If on disability, will it automatically switch to regular social security (I worked for 30 years)? If so, what age?
Comment from : @AngeliaMcbride

@AngeliaMcbride
Was no longer able to work at age 49 after working 30 years At 49/1/2 I was told my disability was approved but could not start until age 50 I had to stop working 4 months before I was approved so I was unable to work for 10 months without income (not by choice) Does it depend on the reason for disability as to what age you can begin disability?
Comment from : @AngeliaMcbride

@janeathome6643
None of this will matter thanks to all the idiots who keep voting Rethuglican Don't think I'll ever collect a penny, regardless how much I kicked in Elon wants this gone and, apparently, he's our real President and gets whatever he wants
Comment from : @janeathome6643

I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and i applied for SSI, i didn't qualify for SSDI, due to not fitting into that 5 year window Never mind i worked over 30 some years A 30 year old could have received SSDI before me, even though they may have worked 10 years Never mind that's the rules, i still don't think that was fair
Comment from : @katkat-fm3wj

@gbosearcher-3686
Thank you for the information on survivor benefits My husband passed away 7 years ago At the age of 66 almost 67 He started collecting at the age of 65 I wished when I went to social security they would have explained the survivor benefits better I was almost 65 and I could have been ok until I reached full retirement age ( 66 ) But, no one said anything about waiting Since his benefits were higher than mine, survivor benefits switched It was 6 years before I finally received the best explanation of why the benefits were lower than I expected Shame on the reps that helped me
