Hi there, very interesting insight I also believe that learning many languages at the same time is possible However, it requires a lot of time, the right motivation, and the proper resources I’m a very passionate language learner and polyglot, and I’ve been learning languages for the past 25 years At the moment, I’m learning and practicing seven languages simultaneously To be honest, I find it difficult and challenging, but despite that, I enjoy it and find it rewarding I’m no longer young; I’m 47 Over time, I’ve found it increasingly difficult to fit language learning into my daily routine It’s getting harder and harder to juggle languages with work, family, and other activities Despite all this, I believe it’s always worth it It’s important to discover the best way to learn and find the techniques, methods, and resources that work best for you It doesn’t matter how quickly you progress; what matters is spending time learning languages and practicing speaking regularly And, of course, enjoying the process Comment from : @andmar77 |

1:00 I RECOMMEND you study languages of same family at the same time Because Spanish and Portuguese are now going on at the same time, I make a clearer distinction between them, as they are in different classrooms with different people If I studied them separately, I would be more confused Comment from : @tj-co9go |

I’m learning PT, IT, FR and GE together on Duolingo What’s good about this is that Duo doesn’t teach you the same areas consistently in every language For example brPT lesson 1 would be traveling brIT lesson 1 would be introductionsbrFR lesson 1 would be pluralsbrThese aren’t actually the lesson 1 for each one, but they don’t overlap in the subjects They do eventually later as they all will cover all the subjects eventually if that makes sense I love it Comment from : @PearlsAnneHeels |

I doubt you'll see this NOW because its been three years since you posted this, but on the off chance that you do, I wanted ask if you could give me your opinion on my situation! I am a native english speaker, coming from the US, I grew up speaking french at my house because my parents both speak french, but I do not have a grammatical level at all because I never went to school for it and never learned grammar rules (so basicaly, I understand it, my accent is fine, but my grammar and vocab is SHITE) Anyways I moved to France a month ago and am going to master in SPANISH All the classes are in French, though SO im wondering if you have any tips on how to basically learn a third language in your second language that has yet to be perfected? THANK YOU <3 Comment from : @treesoul6282 |

Congrats on being such a young polygon! I’m 33, and native to English and Spanish, but I recently got into the idea of learning Chinese Mandarin, Hindi, Arabic, and Swahili, reasoning that this would allow me to talk to over half the world and in all continents/ major regions (Swahili is #1 African language, and high estimates by Harvard and UNESCO rank it at over 200M speakers, and I hope it can one day become the official African language)brbrOf course, Russian, French, Bengali, Portuguese, German and Urdu all have good reasons to ask to be learned, but I feel that most people from those countries should know English, Spanish, Hindi etc Comment from : @JonBgeez |

I actually really like studying languages of the same family simultaneously! I know that most people don't, but I don't get them confused, so for me I find it really fun But I think that you need to test it first before making a huge commitment 😊 Comment from : @m3talhe4d72 |

I feel like you can learn several languages at the same time, but learning a language like Mandarin feels like a language you need to focus all your brain power on since it’s one of if not thee most difficult language to learn for an English speaker Mandarin is just so intimidating to me so I’m probably gonna start off with other languages first😅 Comment from : @moon_0207 |
|

LOL! "Do you guys want some ASMR?" You wild! Comment from : @Mr_Kirk_ |

Spanish is my native tongue I had the opportunity to graduate from a bilingual college since I was 3 years old so I'm C2 in english I'm currently on B1 in French (been learning since 2017), and now I'm like 2 weeks since I started learning German, well I had a 6 month course like 10 years but I don't remember any of itbrbrI would say that is advisable to start learning a new language once you've attained a decent language on the one you were learning prior I don't you should be an expert in all the languages you know but learning 2 languages might be tricky, especially if they're from the same family Comment from : @fabianbm22 |
|
