I work as a school nurse the fulfillment comes with helping the kids everyday deal w their illnesses or mental health issues The part that’s weighing me down heavily is the staff, my coworker school nurses, who are all women and who are nasty, not friendly and just show no interest or care in you It’s like going to work and working alongside total strangers daily

I practically never took a job because of the money it paid I always try to do work that I know I’m good at and enjoy doing When doing such work, it’s never been a drudgery I’ve had two jobs I hated and quit in less than a year Both were for companies that had massive internal problems…poor product quality, poor management, or had obviously made bad decisions that were going to put them out of business Working for a poorly managed or dying company is indeed a miserable experience There’s lots of companies in this situation In such situations one should exit immediately Oftentimes, it’s not a problem with you, or one that you can affect in any way Staying in such a job can be harmful for your mental health

Ain’t that the truth as a analyst or law enforcement specialist in the legal field you are looking at working 24/7 365 days a year and in some positions you are required to travel several times a year The pay is rewarding and the benefits are great but the life work balance especially around a family is hard And it’s the same for many doctors So unless you feel truly called to this line of work and are passionate about it and not the money DONT DO IT

I think this has more to do with how competitive workplaces are in the US, as well as the work/life balance Here in Sweden, if a job has an English title and, for example, is looking for someone who is "hungry," "efficient," "flexible," or similar, you often know it’s a bad job Often American companies In Sweden, employees have relatively strong power over employers compared to the global standard As long as you get an education here, you’ll mostly end up with a career—even as an unattractive, unsympathetic, and complete idiot Its really not worth it, people here tend to work as little as they have to on a job, to live Few live to work
