People will say “ well, you need someone to correct you You’ll remember things incorrectly by yourself “ I’ve come across mistakes I’ve made on my own and you guys can search for it if you feel like you’re making a mistake Chat bots really have taught me well too I think when one applies their intuitive gift they’re able to navigate and find what they need to work on I’ve also found going and chasing people down to talk to annoys them and most of the time they’ll just say “let’s speak in English” Comment from : @Donquijote98 |

I think learning a new language has to be fun, and with a lot of input you will learn more, english is my second language and it's not a 100 but I'm improving practicing every day, and it's easy if I have fun with it, Videos like this motived me to learn in different ways, and you know when you listen this kind of videos is like you understand everything but in real life people speak faster, but still can understand if you listen English every day :) Comment from : @Jess-wf5go |

I have observed that i have hard time practising speaking at all, its not just confidence but perhaps the ability to put active effort, ie executive function itself, to be less creative in exec functions I know details due to adhd study However, this can explain the same inability to speak English for almost all indians We put our whole life studying english, but end up very bad at it I was the best in English in my class, however, still I am very bad at speaking bec of no practise When I think about alone practise, that too seems impractical or unreal to me, so i am guessing it all has to do with bad executive function in the frontal lobe or something Conceptual passive learning, input, will be of no use if we don't actively practise output This is why Euopeans learn way better than us Comment from : @OneStepToday |
|

i like this, ive been doing something similar just out of intstinct, probably because of been through the formal language acquisition rodeo a few times now not the best imo i call this superior method 'language assimilation' you study the language but instead of trying to fit the target language, you make it your own, using your own resources, experiences and judgments as playgrounds or sandboxes pretty fun Comment from : @RealAmericanSicko |

Robin, You tell very interestingly But could you tell how you start learning a foreign language? Starting from the zero level Because in this film you talk about developing a language when: you have intermediate level, you know the vocabulary and basics of grammar And how do you reach the intermediate level? Comment from : @Adam42416 |
|
It can be hard to speak when you can barely construct a sentence Years ago I learnt my English through reading and just listening, it works That's why am teaching beginner English this way, I know it works through experience Comment from : @TeachingEnglishASMR |

I hope in my conersation class on weekends at Fisk my teacher appreciate this vid as much as I did You know, ever since my first class that the way I've drilled but, as I'm shy, I could never ever motivate anyone myself Nowadays I'm into German, and it's been working the very same way Way to gobrBTW: I've exchanged words in French with my dad's client who lived in Belgium I've never gone to a French school But the methodology has always worked ever since the first English class over ten years ago Comment from : @victorb83_Mudvayne |
|
I wish it had portuguese subtitles too I've got a friend I've spent some time trying to get me a company to talk to - she's found it interesting too, I've been careful not to blow my efforts leading her towards giving up - Comment from : @victorb83_Mudvayne |
