I've been using action cameras extensively for about 8 years now and in my personal experience these cheaper cameras are not really worth the money if you intend on using them on a regular basis for long periods of time I've owned 11 different cameras made by Akaso/Eken/SKJ Cam/DJI/Yi/Hawkeye and every single one of them has died in under a year, i'm pretty sure for heat related issues, except for my Yi 4k and DJI Osmo Action Both of those still work flawlessly I use them for filming my freight hopping videos and they will get used sometimes 8-10 hours straight andtake it like a champ I completely understand that how I use them is sort of a "worst case scenario" in terms of testing it's endurance but personally i'd rather pay $400 for a camera once and use it for several years or more, than pay $150 every year to replace a cheap camera

My Akaso Brave 4 works fine and I get good film, BUT for some reason despite trying many times, I cannot get it to hook to my Android phone It will connect to the wifi, but the software simply won't hook up to it

I like my Brave 7le Its a good enough secondary cam for fishing Although its not as good as my GP11 on just about every level, its still not a bad camera for overall image quality It is better on battery life and editing isn't as cumbersome as GP11 in 4k Its also lighter than a gopro which helps when mounting is more precarious

Bought Akaso 7 for $100 a year ago Pretty much garbage Easy to figure out Filmed and pics were fine Shutoff n overheats even skiing, cold airflow still shutoff Audio is Real Bad Cant upload and can only view it on tv San disk storage was ok Get a GoPro or Insta 360 x3

I was given an Akaso camera a few years ago, and the mic did not work good at all i tried to remove the internal mic and extend wires outside of the camera's body and soldered the mic to them but it still wasn't good Akaso puts together cheap junky cameras for people who aren't really into videography I didn't want to upgrade my h3 to another hero, but after researching, no other company is willing or capable of competing with them except DJI So I got a new hero8

As a previous buyer of Akaso and other budget action cameras, please be certain to buy from a reputable store which has warranty brOut of the 5 cameras I had 3 go bad within 1 year ( usb port stopped working, camera could not record & camera would randomly turn off ) brbrWhen I bought from Amazon they had always issued me a full refund and paid for the return even for one which was almost 2 years old brWhen I tried to contact Akaso directly as I bought it from their site they didn't want to issue a warranty repair and didn't have to due to being in China and only offered me a 20$ voucher off a new camera for a 120$ camera I bought

Bought budged cam once, used it for a day, I was swearing for another one and never touched that crap again 🤬 Fake resolutions, low fps, zero stabilisation, dull colors, terrible sound Only good thing is the amount of mount accessories (can be used on good cam)

Why a Brave 4 ? you pick out a camera that is a few years old and compare it to the best new name brand camera you should've at least compared the Brave 7 LE which is still cheap but not there newest but I would also like to see the newest Brave 8 compared

I've owned gopro1, gopro3 silver, 5 black, 7, 9, and 10 I love my 3 still over the rest as far as reliability With the new features I do like But hate all the technical difficulties I'm sad bit not sad that I'm not the only one upset with gopro Insta360 and dji have captured my attention

I love my Akaso V50X For what I paid, its gold for me I use it daily on my Goldwing for protection on the road Super video quality, fantastic colors and stabi You can't go wrong with one I just got 3 more spare batt for it I will never pay for GoPro

This is the Reason i go to much Expensive but a little Less,brInstead of Going to Go Pro i go to DJIbrSearch problem in GoPro the result found in Gopro 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 and i guess still some in 11,brwhile in DJI most of their problem is Focus but found the solution and some said already fix in latest manufacturebrSo hey i Sacrifice the image Quality of Gopro and go to Stability of DJIbrAnd also found a lot of Video that DJI vs GoPro Usage time in 4k, the DJI osmo 3 Always Win

Hmm, I just cross 1000 subscribers today brTime to actually buy a camera I supposebrI dont' think I want to spend $324 thought, in the 15 years it took me to reach 1000 subscribers, I didnt' make a single penny of Youtube So even justifying a Brave 4 is a hard pitch to sell I'm trying to find any friend with an old iphone in the closet I could have as they usually have pretty good cameras on thembrbrI hate DJI products, I have the DJI FPV goggles and absolutely loathe them so what would be your second recomendation behind the DJI Osmo 3 So older GoPro that is better than the 5 I suppose but not as pricey as the latest model, that just crosses some line with soem feature to make it into that game changer status brbrI work in only 1080p 30fps so not a high bar to reach

I like GoproThey have some issues with heat but the higher the rez you record at the hotter they get and I have seen this with others besides Gopro as well but not first hand only on youtube vids Heck iphones overheat as well if setting out to long in the daylight doing 4k
