I did this yesterday 🎉 congrats to me and to all of us who are trying ahahahhahaha learned for 2 hours with break in the middle cause my butt and hands were not used to it lol but I did it (Note: someone instructed helped me how to like ride and another tried to hold and support but did it for a minute so the rest was me trying not to clash with other bikers and the rails 😂😂😂😂)

I don't know how any parents ever let that one slide Learning to bike is like learning the alphabet, or walking Ok I'll add that it's nice to see a total girl perspective video, not trying to be a boy or faking a boy's perspective at all, and you know a girl on a pure girl's bike, and showing it all off That's really cool A guy would not want to document it or show that to anyone We just have to much pride and there's the macho angle too Nothing really works the same way Very good shopping getting the girl's cruiser for that price Good that you abstained from Walmart on their cheap Chinese bikes Good call We should all strive to get more riding in, especially for practical things like groceries and that kind of thing Be sure to look up that old "Frasier" episode which probably dates back to the time you were born, having to do with Frasier and Niles not knowing how to ride a bike at 40 or so!

When you start learning how to bike, You need to get used to balance first, just push your bike forwards but don't pedal yet cuz you're practicing balance, after you completely balanced the bike, you now have to practice pedalling

Tips: adjust your seat, it should not be able to spin or move much at all, also it is leaned WAY far back Yes there is supposed to be a break, it may be a hub break that engages when you pedal in reverse

Your bike most likely has coaster brakes, try oedaling backwards to stop

That looks like a Dutch bike, in which case it has a coaster brake You have to pedal backwards to activate it Also kudos at learning to bike as an adult! I think I'm the universe balancing opposite of you I've been biking since I was 5, but didn't learn to drive till last year at 24

Very inspirational I wish I could have told you this earlier Your bike looks like it brakes by pushing the peddles backwards More as a rule and more importantly riding a bicycle you need momentum I don’t mean as fast as you can peddle but just enough speed to keep you moving forward I read a few other comments that say to look forward instead of down at you feet That’s also correct I’ve been doing a lot of research to teach my daughter Good luck, enjoy and be safe

the brakes are if you pedal backwards you brake most non beach cruiser bikes have levers for the brakes on the handlebars that you pull to stop
