I just started playing guitar again after not touching one for like 6 years, and I played for 12 years probably before that and sound like I've never held a guitar in my life 😂 is there a good 3rd chord to mix in with these two? I'm just trying to jam again for my own spirit, not trying to preform for anyone

I would also recommend with any chords that have the root note A (Asus2, Amaj, Am etc), that you do not play the low E string/6th string, as that is not the root note of the chord

These two chords can sound huge with a little effect and one acoustic one electricmy band used to do a 6 minute improv based on this vampit was a lot of fun to just play around with itsimple but effectiveadd a basic bass riff and you have in fact got some music

I use my middle and ring fingers to play Em, that way, when you move down one string and if you add your pinky, you can play an A, so much easier

The best beginner chords to learn (in my opinion!) are definitely E,Em and Am You can play a song just by moving your first finger for the most part Include the chord in this video and you have 4 chords learned within minutes! (I’ve only been playing for a couple weeks please don’t come for me)

I taught my daughter that, but I had her learn the EM the old-fashioned way, with her ring finger and middle finger so that she can easily add the index finger for the E major chord
