@jeanmartin963
you forget one big advantage : with an hardtail you have more sensations on the bike, you do not need to take more risks to have the same level of adrenaline or fun, and the one time you take too much risk, you will broke a leg or a shoulder and you will need several weeks to recover, instead of the rest of your life in a wheelchair
Comment from : @jeanmartin963

@broski7546
I love my hardtail but it actually limits the trails I can do because they are too much for my hardtailAnd trust me I almost broke it one time even tho it is a good hardtail😂
Comment from : @broski7546

@davidpayne8413
Expat Brit here in the Philippines, I'm 71 retired CMT Mod UK I ride a 2017 vintage Giant Fathom 29er with Shimano XT group set! Perfect for the road and trail conditions here! I don't race or ride competitively, just for the sheer joy of being able to ride at 71! out in the sticks, just the sound of your tires, the occasional dog barking, and friendly chatter of mine host when I stop for a drink and a snack
Comment from : @davidpayne8413

@alanbussell7894
I just love the simplicity of it It's bad enough cleaning a Hardtail never mind getting into all those nooks and crannies of a FS Love riding bikes, hate cleaning bikes 😂😂
Comment from : @alanbussell7894

@user-ty2uz4gb7v
I have a full suspension plus a seat post suspension I love all the cushioning and I've never had an issue with any extra maintenance in 19 years

@subterraneanhomesickalien
After 20 years Im back on a MB Was really daunting what to go for so exactly what you said wanted to get the foundation on a HT and love it Got a lot of bike for my money and used the spare cash for accessories You are spot on and LOVE your channel by the way Thanks!
Comment from : @subterraneanhomesickalien

@JoeIsCrazyWillman
I would have to argue though that if you're trying to get somebody into mountain biking, a hard tail is a good choice if budget is on the tighter side, or if they already show great enthusiasm for the sport, however if they are not really sure and more sort of on the fence about things, a decent full suspension bike will sway them more in favor of continuing to ride (especially for women you're trying to get interested in the sport They may come to love hardtails later, but it's easier to get them into the sport if they start trying out a full squish bike 🤷🏼
Comment from : @JoeIsCrazyWillman

@klausnurnberger1980
The best video I've seen of/over and with hardtails! I love it and so do your other hardtail videos 1000 times thank you Greetings from Germany
Comment from : @klausnurnberger1980

Comment from : @rofferdal

@kopite1892ynwa
Are nukeproof bikes available in the UK?
Comment from : @kopite1892ynwa

@AIK1891
What model is that? Available in Sweden? 😅
Comment from : @AIK1891

@SilasNomad
I bought mine for mountain biking originally but it's ended up becoming a commuter, It's very cumbersome for a commuter but I do appreciate the flexibility and extra suspension as someone who hates road riding
Comment from : @SilasNomad

@stefanformgren4978
im very happy with my hardtail with 29" tiers (merida big nine think it goes under XC ) have had it for like 7years now, but in need to service and freshing up after years of riding in heat and snowslush :)
Comment from : @stefanformgren4978

@JOHNGIBS
PHILIPPINES IS HARD TAIL BICYCLE CAPITAL OF THE WORLD 😅
Comment from : @JOHNGIBS

@alanlau4941
All my bikes have been hardtail, I've never owned, let alone put my leg over a full sus!brI don't know if that will change in the future but I'm really happy with my new bike right now!
Comment from : @alanlau4941

@dh7958
I started mountain biking with a hard tail It's been more than 20 years since I started Now I have Downhill Bikes, Enduro Bikes, and even EMTB But I always get my hands on the hard tail when I go around a nearby trail and go grocery shopping The more complicated the world becomes, the more attractive it is to simplicity
Comment from : @dh7958

@06Crf250rider
Love my 2018 Scout
Comment from : @06Crf250rider

@rob1399
I love my Scott Aspect and it is indeed my only (non motorcycle) bike!

@dannyk3718
started MTBing in 87 on peugeot ranger 10sp mountainbike a pure rigid beast with a vey flexi frame loljump ahead a few decades and im living large on my Orbea Laufey i love having a 140mm sus upfront but thats all the luxury this old dog needs
Comment from : @dannyk3718

@Arkie_Outdoors
Love my NP Scout Something about riding it on the DH trails and eyeing the best line and adjusting on the fly just makes it more fun than plowing through whatever line I want on my FS
Comment from : @Arkie_Outdoors

@greenfingers26
I don't think you you get the same experience from a full suspension as you get from a hard tail you certainly feel the trail better although your bum hurts abit more
Comment from : @greenfingers26

@anthonysears871
Best reason No electric motors!
Comment from : @anthonysears871

@BUILTLIGHTWOUNDTIGHT

Comment from : @BUILTLIGHTWOUNDTIGHT

@jonm7272
Hardtail definitely looks better Full suss swing arms always look weirdly awkward compared to the lines of the rest of the bike, to my eyes anyway
Comment from : @jonm7272

@ZoZooZoooZoxxxx
Butterblume XD oder auch mein Honigkuchen
Comment from : @ZoZooZoooZoxxxx

@rouxenophobe
Reason 239: they don't have a bulging "rock magnet" down tube
Comment from : @rouxenophobe

@jpr3718
Nowadays it seems like we all need a full suspension bike, with electronic gearshift, electronic suspension system, electronic tire pressure system, Sorry but not, i just want to ride my hardtail fast in the forest Period
Comment from : @jpr3718

@k-kgeri8085
Is stoic 3 good ?
Comment from : @k-kgeri8085

@littledevilchris666
Just started a hardtail build, I’m a bit worried my full Suss may become surplus to requirement , I suppose I could always break it down and sell it in parts if that’s the case
Comment from : @littledevilchris666

@alf3071
I really don't like hardtails
Comment from : @alf3071

@mcl40000

Comment from : @solobellimino2356

@JuliusBackmark
Full sus is better
Comment from : @JuliusBackmark

@augmented2nd666
I love my 2023 Devinci Kobain 29er, I got a GT aggressor 29 last year as my first MTB as an adult and really loved the 29 wheels for getting over roots and rocks instead of getting full suspension Prior to that, I've ridden skatepark BMX for around 25 years, it was also my commuter to and from mostly the skatepark, so I'd easily put 20 miles or so on the BMX before riding the skatepark for 6 or so hours (off n on obviously you also have to chill at the park to make a day of it) before riding the same distance home After trying to ride the trails on my BMX in the new city I just moved to, Nanaimo BC, Canada, from Parksville, BC all on Vancouver Island, I found the trails a bit too rough in Nanaimo and the hills too steep for the little BMX, so now the BMX is for the skatepark and the hardtail is for the mountains, also the GT is being kept for the road for now as it was very very cheap, although I've got a 40 year old Apollo road bike for the road, it needs work and is a bit sketchy
Comment from : @augmented2nd666

@syXification
Sure nice for lite drivers More heavy is also more beating for the Bike 😅
Comment from : @syXification

@08mario08
I’m on a hard trail because my cheap ass won’t spend the thousands for a full sus
Comment from : @08mario08

@beatae
Riding hard tails since the 80’s and always will
Comment from : @beatae

@jotan8292
Been riding fullsus for years yeti, spez, ibis, etc, now feelin excited about hardtail Some said i'd been downgrading But i said to them it's a new experience Totally new, more fun less hassle, yeah 🤟🏻🤟🏻
Comment from : @jotan8292

@sndrcve
Lots of “why hardtails are the best” vids Must be some sort of industry push ;)
Comment from : @sndrcve

@FoxRob93
I came from BMX in the 80's had a full suspension when got into MTB and hated it Now I ride a GT Aggressor Expert and love it brHow about a video for economical upgrades for entry level bikes
Comment from : @FoxRob93

@Holden-McGroin
I just recently got into mountain biking I’m really loving my budget Hardtail The problem with having the best of the best equipment in these types of sports, mountain biking, ATVs, side-by-side‘s, etc is that the moderate, fun trails become boring, and you find yourself constantly chasing more and more extreme terrain, which means you’re traveling and not enjoying the sport as much as you used to kind of the reason I lost interest in my side-by-side Anything that I could ride within a 4 or 5 Hour drive just became boring with the machine that I have
Comment from : @Holden-McGroin

@ChristianHoffstrom
Blake you are awesome and hillarious at the same time
Comment from : @ChristianHoffstrom

@paulshanesmith
My hardtail with its plus size tyres is the most fun bike I've ever had and I'm 58 so I've had a few!!
Comment from : @paulshanesmith

@EdgeLordOmen
Its a frame that's its jobbrNo moving parts much more stable easy to maintain and durable

Comment from : @byggloket2590

@faizizz4062
I got into cycling two years ago when I was trying to save money and decided to buy a hardtail to daily commute to work since there was a section of the shortcut that is a bit offroad-ybrbrBest choice I've ever made in my entire life Now it's my go-to bike for every occasion ❤
Comment from : @faizizz4062

@theparadigmshift74
Is that the scout elite? What do you think about the 275RS

Comment from : @wcskincare3951

@jasonnowwhat5041
I just don’t think the cost is really a thing anymore We can get full suspension builds for $2500 and under with the same level components as some of the enduro style hard tails from Nukeproof and Rocky Mountain
Comment from : @jasonnowwhat5041

@pasolero
LOVE the video What model POC helmet are you wearing? I want to get the same one in that color but do not see it on the website? Thanks in advance and keep making great videos
Comment from : @pasolero

@Lamby1010

What model of NP Scout I should to buy, 275 or 290? I am 190cm of height and I need XL frame, so… What am I need as my first true-trail bike after grandpa-bike GT avalanche 9r (29inch)…?
Comment from : @АрсенийСучков-к2ц

@jedisentinel1499
Better torque output on hills and on the flats Better muscle development on the downhills bcuz your legs are the suspension
Comment from : @jedisentinel1499

@Therealxiu

Comment from : @ivansanjaya7371

@m4tzeeh
If I had discovered your youtube channels before shopping for a new bike last year, I probably would've bought a new 29" hardtailbrI've been riding on a 26" hardtail that I bought in 2003 until December 2022, haha
Comment from : @m4tzeeh

@elementbeneteau1735
Correct me if I'm wrong - but hardtails use all the leg power you give them to move forward while full suspension bikes steel power and give some to the rear suspension so pedal power is wasted 😮
Comment from : @elementbeneteau1735

@dereknoto9969
Trek Stache 7absolutely love it
Comment from : @dereknoto9969

@ApricotData474
I was really debating about trading in for a soft tail, but now i feel like I should keep my hard tail and just upgrade parts
Comment from : @ApricotData474

@Shevock
Whistler on a hardtail? That's hard core I've only rode hardtail and am thinking about buying one again but that's because of cost and I've never done super technical riding
Comment from : @Shevock

@Mauricio-oq1tm
I use hardtail! brDo You use hardtail?
Comment from : @Mauricio-oq1tm

@joshmanwaring3848
Pump those legs, every turn of the crank explode downwards like you're taking a leaping stride Eventually you can use bumpy terrain to actually build momentum
Comment from : @joshmanwaring3848

@horacioevelazquez3250
I love the hardtails
Comment from : @horacioevelazquez3250

@512460

Comment from : @s312a22s

@chrisbehnk920
Bought my first MTB yesterday and it’s a hard tail I rode it today and found this video after … you couldn’t have said it better for anyone wanting to get into the sport … do yourself a favor and take this man’s advice
Comment from : @chrisbehnk920

@justgo4033
The reason i ride hardtails is because i can’t affect 5000$ on a bike and to be honest i like the simplicity and how it feel I’ve had a few full sus bikes ove the years , mostly dh bikes , and the pedal horribly as soon as things get flat I’ve had short travel full sus bikes and i like them much better but for the trails around my place, a hardtail is the shit Id rather have a good hardtail with good components for 3000$ (cad ) than a cheap a 3500 full sus that im gonna have to upgrade
Comment from : @justgo4033

@jekoss7948
Блэйк - красава! HT - forever!! в переводе от яндекса - жара))
Comment from : @jekoss7948

@davidgeiger8620
The rear shock and tune has to be dialed "perfect"to make i a better bikeyou have more pedals trikes on fullsusbrI use my legs as a suspension and that makes it interestingOnce you learned to use your body you can make your Hardtail a trail beatbrYes sirbrI love Hardtail s too!!
Comment from : @davidgeiger8620

Definitely decided on a hardtail Key word, simplicity! I ride a fixed gear on roads & fire roads I want to venture up a little higher, explore the hills and get away from the noise and the cars, challenge some climbs and safely negotiate the returns brThank you for the great insights and fun presentations brI do have to say though, comparing what I will be doing to what you do I may as well be on my unicycle brYou’re an amazing rider! All the best! 👍😎
