This video does not answer the key questions and is more a general video about Debt Recovery Plus who are just an outfit with a printer who send letters to look tough One can just pay the original amount they asked for one day before the hearing if there EVER was one After they have spent money for a barrister to be there on the day but there are two problemsbr1 You never agreeing to what the fine amount is if you do not pay The government tell you what it is by PCN and it is available online br2 Disproportionate costs For a £50-60 fine it is almost impossible to go to court as it would cost more to go to court than one is claiming Even at £150 People love doubling fines for nothing and the practise in private invoicing came from the government who would just up it at council levels and the behaviour has been mimcked without merit To print one more letter of the same template does not cost £150 and also there is no guarantee that you have the money to pay it either and it could be a colossal waste of time If someone went to court and they have only the car that is on disability allowance and not employed they may not be asked to pay for the parking invoice at all

Just ignore them Their business model is to spend as little money as possible Dragging every case to court costs them a ton of money and they won't win every case so money can be lost big time brbrTheir business model is employing a low paid admin person to print of their stock scary letters threatening court action and having them lick stamps Low effort, low cost, in the hopes the letters will scare people into paying

They sent us 6 letters in respect of a parking fine when we didn’t put in a reg plate at a pub The parking charge occurred in July 2022 and they sent letters until December 2022 We ignored it It’s now March 2024 and we’ve heard nothing since As far as I’m concerned it’s not their debt to recover

DRO IS a company but they are regulated by British Barking Association NOT as sometimes informed Financial Conduct Authority or Credit Services Association This means they don't seem to be regulated It's a mess and no one will do anything about it
