@leechjim8023
When I was pre-school age, maybe kindergarten, I remember seeing Liberty Bell half dollars in pocket change By early grade school they had dissapeared I know bow they are Franklins, but I mostly remember the bell😅
Comment from : @leechjim8023

@darlagledhill5181
I tried to read many of the comments to see if anyone had the same questions as I Unfortunatey, no one did When you refer to rubber gloves, do you mean rubber and not latex? You know how some people call bandages BandAids, and tissues Kleenex? I know people that call latex gloves rubber gloves Anyone know for sure?

Comment from : @kennethsmith3625

@HaitianBlue
Is it ok to wash them in hot water and dish soap (dawn?)brbrSome are just dirty as heck
Comment from : @HaitianBlue

@vintageavenuerarecoins
That is so true, Daniel People are so adamant about cleaning coins, put what they refuse to or dont realize is that the large grading houses "clean" coins and they still repeat like a parrot "You'll not suppose to clean coins" Noooo, you not suppose to wire brush clean, or sand paper clean, or tumble them in a rock tumbler, I hear it all the time, add all Im doing is removing the dirt, grime, PVC, and more, while leaving the patina intact and I still get lip, people must love their dirt LOL, Thanks Daniel for a great video
Comment from : @vintageavenuerarecoins

@rosewoodsteel6656
If a coin already has PVC on it, why should it matter if it's mint state or not? Won't PVC continue to damage a coin if left on? Thanks for the great video and explanation I appreciate it!
Comment from : @rosewoodsteel6656

@the_big_dog813
Alcohol, or better yet Purell hand cleaner is really good for getting goop off the outside of graded slabs from price stickers, etc
Comment from : @the_big_dog813

@FLOATERcosmos
What about copper coins? Do you have any info about cleaning those?! lol
Comment from : @FLOATERcosmos

@AdrepKeith
Cracks me up all these coin dealers pronounce it Ez Est The actual product says it pronounced bre Z est, so wouldn't it be called easiest?brAlso I'd like to know how Poly Vynyl Chloride gets on coins Hmmm people storing coins in PVC pipe?
Comment from : @AdrepKeith

@chrisa515
I've used that same jewelry cleaner in the red jar on my silver coins and it worked great I also used it on some foreign coins of uncertain materials and it did a good job on those too The silver coins I clean are typically common dates that aren't worth much so I like to make them look pretty I would never clean a valuable coin unless it was absolutely necessary
Comment from : @chrisa515

@seventwofiveflowers

@tomtransport
The only thing I would do different is I would have place a folded terry towel down in the sink That way, if I drop it, and we all drop coins, it would not be damaged by the hard porcelain sink😀😀
Comment from : @tomtransport

@hmminteresting8359
Should and can a proof silver coin be somehow “ restored “ to get rid of some undesirable toning without damaging it at home ? Or is it just recommended to submit it for restoration by a professional
Comment from : @hmminteresting8359

Comment from : @trackpackgt373

@harrysurtees8710
Daniel, I do a lot of metal detecting and so many of the coins I dig have been in the ground for hundreds of years Most soil is not kind to coins, and most coins (silver) I dig are not rare To me, the silver dimes, quarters, half dollars, and even silver dollars (I've dug 5 silver dollars) are ugly, well are tarnished and what they call, junk silver So, what harm is there, if I put them in a tumbler for an hour or so, and bring them back to reasonable-looking, cleaned coins?brThank you in advance for your opinion
Comment from : @harrysurtees8710

@markfurman4386
Polyvinylchloride

@joeblack1345

This was a lose/lose video No matter what you did or said people would have been upset That said it would have been nice to see the coin before it was washed
Comment from : @The_Brew_Dog

@germanguppy92
I know you said this is really for coins that would grade MS, but what about coins that are maybe a G-VG or F-VF? I have a few coins that I'd like to get the PVC off of, and I try to clean off all my junk silver with acetone before adding it to the pile Would you still recommend this for lower grade inexpensive coins that you're just trying to keep from getting worse, or from infecting the rest of the stack?
Comment from : @germanguppy92

@txspyrate4446
Really wish you had shown us what the coin looked like before / After so we could see the PVC on the coin Did I miss that?
Comment from : @txspyrate4446
