@CalebMartin2U
Social Security is important for many seniors, but it’s also crucial to plan for retirement with smart investments Diversifying your investments helps grow wealth over time It’s never too early to start saving and investing for a secure future I'm 63 and my husband is 65 We’re both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debt We live frugally and earn monthly passive income, which makes our early retirement possible
Comment from : @CalebMartin2U

@Campbell-w3c
The reality currently is, increases are often modest, and only a small percentage of recipients—like the 27 million people mentioned—might see any noticeable change For retirees relying heavily on Social Security, this can create a significant gap between expectations and reality
Comment from : @Campbell-w3c

@Tony-rw1yj
Average SSI people get around 800 dollars

@CRITESBIKER
Social security Income is for those who are declaring thier death preparing for death and or those that are clinically brain dead Retirement shouldn't last more than one to two years When signing up for social security a person is not capable of maintaining thier life and therefore claims a "pawn loan" on thier property that the state works to satisfy contracts, care for farm animals, and market the sale of the business' or farm When the property has sold the social security is paid for The money is also restricted in use to being used for the nursing home, Insane asylum, Hospital, or prison Social security is not for retirement Its better to live with family and be cared for by family and hand the assets to family members rather than claiming social security which requires the family to buy the property back Often times family members will live on the property when its sold and should not be there as its considered trespassing
Comment from : @CRITESBIKER

@BaffySchenck
I’m on Social Security and Medicare The thing that happens is yes we got a three point whatever percent increase last year but my Medicare part B payment also went up by $60 a month more than my cola so I actually took a $60 a month cut I literally made best decisions when i started working with an advisor

So far I'm doing good, approaching retirement with about 800k in savings Transitioning from building wealth to spending can be scary, especially with soaring inflation My question is, after maxing out my tax-advantaged retirement accounts, what next?

Lately, I've been contemplating retirement, uncertain whether my 401(k) and IRA will ensure a secure future I've also invested $800K in the stock market, experiencing fluctuations without substantial gains

@Anitasolomon-u4p
We Are in Unchartered Financial Waters! every day we encounter challenges that have become the new standard Although we previously perceived it as a crisis, we now acknowledge it as the new normal and must adapt accordingly Given the current economic difficulties that the country is experiencing in 2024, how can we enhance our earnings during this period of adjustment? I cannot let my $680,000 savings vanish after putting in so much effort to accumulate them
Comment from : @Anitasolomon-u4p

@christainjames
I came across your channel through this video—case studies are incredibly valuable, and I'm eager to see more in the future! Building wealth involves establishing routines, like consistently setting aside funds at regular intervals for smart investments

@Lyn777
Yeah, well the reality is that for a lot of Seniors Social Security will be their only source of income It's not a benefit, it's their money that was taken out of their checks Therefore, Congress had better get going and pass one those many bills to fix it
Comment from : @Lyn777

@barttfisher
Investors made stocks soar last Tuesday, cheering the October Consumer Price Index report that showed inflation slowed more than expected last monthWhat is the greatest strategy to take advantage of the current bull market while I'm still deciding whether to sell my $300k worth of stocks?

@tahirisaid2693
Relying solely on social security isn't advisable I've learned that the most efficient path to wealth, both in acquiring a million and sustaining billionaire status, is through wise investment strategies

@Irishgreen56
We all need to save social security now not later and we need to take thoses in office out of office in government that don't want to save social security
Comment from : @Irishgreen56

@skitzdaniel3314
Yes, the US government has borrowed money from the Social Security trust fund in the past br brThe Social Security trust fund collects more in payroll taxes each year than it pays out in benefits The excess funds are invested in US Treasury bonds, and the interest earned on those bonds is added to the trust fund br brHowever, the government has sometimes borrowed money from the trust fund to finance other government programs, such as infrastructure projects, defense spending, and other government expenses This borrowing is accomplished through the sale of special-issue Treasury bonds to the Social Security trust fund br brThe government is required to pay back the funds it has borrowed from the Social Security trust fund, with interest As of now, the US government owes over $28 trillion to the Social Security trust fund The government is required to repay this debt, and failure to do so could potentially jeopardize the stability of the Social Security program in the future
Comment from : @skitzdaniel3314

@Mixster707
I worked hard for 50 years! I had to move 22 times for work I’m 71 and retired with a body that hurts every daybrStop salivating over what I get from SS It’s barely enough It will not buy an electric car either Don’t be shocked if a lot of us think you are blood eating leeches

SS payouts should be cut during recessions If SS tax receipts drop, as they will, during a recession, shouldn't benefits be cut?
Comment from : @karlkeating9960

IDK They take 12 of your paycheck (you pay half, company pays half) and they are still running out of moneybrbrBetter to let me keep that 6-12 and invest over my working life time
Comment from : @WmRod

@optimisticnihlist9705
I know it's likely someone won't respond, but I'm still curious how the age you retire affects your benefits, because the later you wait to receive benefits, the more you get Does it affect your bends, or how does it work?
Comment from : @optimisticnihlist9705
