Social Security is important for many seniors, but it’s also crucial to plan for retirement with smart investments Diversifying your investments helps grow wealth over time It’s never too early to start saving and investing for a secure future I'm 63 and my husband is 65 We’re both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debt We live frugally and earn monthly passive income, which makes our early retirement possible Comment from : @CalebMartin2U |

The reality currently is, increases are often modest, and only a small percentage of recipients—like the 27 million people mentioned—might see any noticeable change For retirees relying heavily on Social Security, this can create a significant gap between expectations and reality Comment from : @Campbell-w3c |

Social security Income is for those who are declaring thier death preparing for death and or those that are clinically brain dead Retirement shouldn't last more than one to two years When signing up for social security a person is not capable of maintaining thier life and therefore claims a "pawn loan" on thier property that the state works to satisfy contracts, care for farm animals, and market the sale of the business' or farm When the property has sold the social security is paid for The money is also restricted in use to being used for the nursing home, Insane asylum, Hospital, or prison Social security is not for retirement Its better to live with family and be cared for by family and hand the assets to family members rather than claiming social security which requires the family to buy the property back Often times family members will live on the property when its sold and should not be there as its considered trespassing Comment from : @CRITESBIKER |

We Are in Unchartered Financial Waters! every day we encounter challenges that have become the new standard Although we previously perceived it as a crisis, we now acknowledge it as the new normal and must adapt accordingly Given the current economic difficulties that the country is experiencing in 2024, how can we enhance our earnings during this period of adjustment? I cannot let my $680,000 savings vanish after putting in so much effort to accumulate them Comment from : @Anitasolomon-u4p |

Yes, the US government has borrowed money from the Social Security trust fund in the past
br
brThe Social Security trust fund collects more in payroll taxes each year than it pays out in benefits The excess funds are invested in US Treasury bonds, and the interest earned on those bonds is added to the trust fund
br
brHowever, the government has sometimes borrowed money from the trust fund to finance other government programs, such as infrastructure projects, defense spending, and other government expenses This borrowing is accomplished through the sale of special-issue Treasury bonds to the Social Security trust fund
br
brThe government is required to pay back the funds it has borrowed from the Social Security trust fund, with interest As of now, the US government owes over $28 trillion to the Social Security trust fund The government is required to repay this debt, and failure to do so could potentially jeopardize the stability of the Social Security program in the future Comment from : @skitzdaniel3314 |
