I am 28 and worked as a barista for nearly 3 years at starbucks I left because I couldn't carry on destroying myself and sacrificing my own happiness for the next 3 years due to everyone living a normal decent life whilst I earn nothing in return So right now, I have all these career choices in my own mind I could be a architect, a sales guy, a entreprenuer even though it is stressful, a knife designer due to my obsession with american knives, a copywriter, ecommerce and more I know which one pays the most, but I don't know which one will make me feel like a human being doing the job that makes me love it very much whilst earning a decent and very sustainable amount

@TechnicianBryce
What I’ve found pursuing my dream career of running my own business, is it takes money to make money I’ve burnt through a lot of my savings supporting myself while learning skills and understanding my field, so I’ve decided to get a second job that brings in steady money to be able to buy the tools and advertising needed to get my business up and running Definitely not how I originally planned it, going all in and accomplishing my dream job through sheer willpower It takes both willpower AND money, lol

@manuelp1145
I am 29 years old, since I graduated from university studying chemistry I have not been able to work, I have graduated 6 years ago and I have not been able to find a job due to lack of experience and no money to pay for the overtraining that companies ask of me, I have been quite depressed these last few years because I have not been able to get ahead, I went from loving my career to hating it because of how useless so many years of studying have been, I really like laboratory life and learning things about chemistry, but not being able to work and struggling to get some money each month to survive makes me feel that the best thing is to stop trying and give up that career, and rather get a job in whatever so that I can get out of my parents' house

@jeffreypbrown4729
What's funny is that these strategies are often full of catch phrases: pixel theory, me-plus, compounding What it takes is really quite simple, and it's what most people never do, go inward and go deep The answers lie within, not without Intrinsic is your strength, extrinsic your weakness The more you work toward inner desires, abilities, inclinations, etc the better Point of note, most are innate, or we're born with them, so even the very young have their answers within Paz!

The hardest thing is finding out that the thing that you came easily to you and that you enjoyed doing is not that enjoyable now that it's your work What if you don't know what you enjoy anymore?
Comment from : @machin8593

@muggs105
I already found mine, but what i have learned through my years of working, is this (obviously taking aside the enjoyments of living): br1 First choose your path, this means picking what you are going to do, or want to dobr2 Dont just go into it knowing nothing, you dont have study it first, just be interested, this is why a year after highschool is great for choice, meaning you either ask for some classes on an university to look unto the topics, or look at yt videos, plenty of them to know what you are getting intobr3 Once you decide, you go for it, truth is, whatever you choose, you will love it and also hate itbr4 There's no correct answer into choosing what you want, in the times of hating that pick, you will start to ponder about other choices you could have picked, answer is, if you were to change or pick that kther thing first, you'd be pondering the same thing br5 Most important of the rest, that which you picked, for 5 years for yourself, dont earn a single penny, if you still do it with effort after that time, its because your choice wasnt an error, you truly doing it because you like or love it, this can give you a portfolio or the experience you need, depending how far you are willing to put on the effort brWith all that, you can pick money, that's valid, but if you pick cash , make sure to at least do it rightbrThere's a saying on my country, which i will translate: As the old man said, my son/my daughter, no matter what you do in life, but do bestbrOnce again, do best, not be best, that means another thingbrIf you dont understand the difference, to do best, means your effort, how far your strenght on keeping on doing that thing let's you go; with this its not about you, its about your, and belongs to your choice, while being the best is about you and can add plenty of pressure to you, not to your, because if others do better, you will compare yourself, not your effort and hard work
Comment from : @muggs105

@petrhristov9299
AMAZING VIDEO! I recently decided to give up on my childhood dream of becoming a doctor and pursue something in International relations and law, which I biographically enjoy more than the hefty title 'Doctor of Human Medicine', which only sounds cool and noble, but the reality of the tasks bring me no joy It's ok to change your mind - it is a sign of intelligence and strength rather than of weakness giving up things and picking up ones that align more with what you truly want
Comment from : @petrhristov9299

@rachelall3973
None of the tasks and jobs i see are interesting to me I need a good paying job but its hard finding jobs that dont require degrees

@nik_kingman
Why is Steve Jobs used as an example of a hero? It's unclear whether he even ENJOYED his life Just because you're obsessed with your dumb tech devices doesn't mean you need to "think big" and also be a high strung asshole like Jobs

@MTQ-19
I was done with my high school/college at 18 & that's typical age in my country i wanted to be a doctor not just for name but whole lifestyle those books everything excites mebrI gave entrance exam didn't do really well it was hard as i was always among top 3 since kindergarten examsbrbrI took a gap year again appeared 3 months ago but i couldn't make it in govt med college by 5 brPriv mbbs is really too much expensive here can't do thatbrbrI have been thinking searching online since 2 months but i can't find anything that makes me happy or content or excited i feel like a failure i don't know what to do i am 19 already & everyone around me moved on to other fields but i just can't brbrI don't know what to do does anybody can help to figure this out

I’m 27…I studied Journalism because all I ever wanted as a Kid was to be a TV host Not a Journalist, a TV Host And all my teachers said most of those Talk Show, TV Personalities, and Game show hosts were Journalists firsts… My parents (more so my mom) did not like this idea and wanted me to do Nursing I did not listen to my parents , I listened to my heart and the advice from my teachers and studied Journalism…And upon graduating, my career in Journalism was extremely short lived After Covid, I couldn’t bounce back into the industry, leaving me unemployed for 3 years And my mom had her “I told you so” moment… And I was pressured into doing an Accelerated Nursing Program…… And I’m one Semester in… And I hate it so much I hate how I’m not allowed to get anything lower than a 79, I hate how every little mistake is punishable, I hate how this industry has the most bullies I’ve ever seen in my life (by staff and patients…I’ve never experienced bullying in any other “professional “ setting) I hate that we are ONLY graded by Tests, there are no homework assignments, projects, papers, presentations to help bring grades up if you’re a horrible test taker like me…Oh and the lack of guidance… I wasn’t made for this I’m so miserable I’m scared to tell my ASIAN family (it doesn’t matter how old you are , there is no “bUt YoU’rE aN AdUlt, any questioning, self explanation, self defence is disrespectful/dishonourable) that I want to quit brbrI have 2 friends who are also studying Nursing & Medicine and although their advice too comes out of love and experience, everything they’ve said is unappealing to mebrbr“ oh that’s normal in nursing Oh it’s normal to have rude instructors, it will prepare you for rude coworkers patients Dry your eyes with your pay check and move on to the next patient ”brbrPREPARE ME FOR RUDE COWORKERS WND PATIENTS?!?!?brbrI DONT WANT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@justducky8508
Hi, love this video, as well as the channel itselfbrbrQuestion to you or the audience: Do you believe a company can make someone dislike the field itself? Whether its the management or daily interaction with coworkers-- would that make someone want to pivot careers entirely?

The main problem is I do not believe that investing years of training for a new career is going to pay off anymore because we live in such a rapid changing society At the time I'm ready to start working, my skills are either outdated or I don't even have the experience to start at a junior level Obviously I have to do SOMETHING but it feels like we can't win when playing the career game like its "supposed" to be played
