One of my favorite books as a child was the Fear Street Saga trilogy by RL Stine In the first, The Betrayal, a girl is falsely accused of being a witch and burned at stake along with her mother sparking a centuries-long blood feud between the Goode and Fier/Fear families The beginning takes place in 1692 in Massachusetts but not Salem, I don't think I'd recommend it (it's a YA novel)brbrI also liked Salem (the tv show) but I don't know if I'll ever re-watch it The brutality and callousness of some of the murders really disturbed me
