Yes, I learned a lot of Russian words , but I had to come to understand grammar cause I wasn’t able to use tenses, looking at your videos help me see some of it , you have to emerse yourself into the language so you can listen,to speak , from my experience, yet I’m still listening, if not for vocabulary you may not understand poka Comment from : @atolliver91 |

in my opinion listening skill is more important in the first place because you can't speak without understanding the person you talk to, if you are good at listening with little bit confidence you can express yourself in some way! Comment from : @tahep3906 |

The problem I see is that sometimes (or most of the time) some people are afraid to speak because they're afraid to make mistakes in front of a native speaker that might make fun of them There might be native speakers that pretend they don't understand only because you didn't say things correctly And that makes a learner refrain from speaking That's normal You need to be self confident in those cases, speak no matter if you know you're making the most stupid mistake Just speak brThat's why I consider it's so important to speak since the very first moment you begin to learn a language Because the reason you want to learn is that you want to SPEAK You don't learn a language only to write or read You learn it in order to speak and be able to communicate with people from the country this language is spoken So you must practice and practice and practice It is said practice makes perfect! I like your philosophy of learning a new language I assume children learn this way? There was a popular Australian book / movie called "They're a Weird Mob" (Mob is Australian slang for a bunch of people Nothing sinister) An Italian migrates to Australia He has formally learned correct English Therefore, his workmates do not understand a word he says (Australian English can be unusual) Eventually he falls into the way they speak and everything is fine It was a comedy but with an air of truth My parents were similarly immigrants from Yugoslavia They even changed our surname to make it easier for Australians to pronounce (Slavic names are so difficult for English speakers!!!) To be fair, they were running a business and it happened a lot Comment from : @francissreckofabian01 |

You are so right To be understood and have a good pronunciation is the key for me I have a college whose pronunciation is so bad I can barely understand her It doesn't matter if she knows all the words in a dictionary or has perfect grammar Comment from : @The1sista |

Suddenly I thought, that it will be a cool thing to have a talk in my naive language (Russian) with the one who's only learning it So, guys, if you want to, you can contact me by discord (Ergy#4290), have a chat or voice call It would be very interesting for me Thanks for you attention xD; Comment from : @ErgyErgy |

Growing up around Russian speakers, I can understand it quite well and can even write in Russian but I am too shy to speak it I know I sound bad but that only goes with practice but I am too nervous to do that haha Comment from : @BillyBobThe8th |

in France If you are not grammatically perfect and your pronunciation is not perfect, we will pretend we have no idea what you are talking about Even if you use voudrais instead of souhaite/souhaiter we pretend that you make no sense at all 😂😂 Comment from : @LaFranceBonjour |

Russian is my fourth ;) Comment from : @jatinagarwal17 |

The reason it is difficult is usually due to 1st language interference Your native language gets in the way of learning a new one It will take time for your brain to adjust to a new and different language systembrYou also talk about language teachers who are fixated on correcting errors from the start It sounds like they have a "get it right from the beginning" teaching philosophy These teachers are usually trying to avoid fossilization If errors are not corrected they may over time become fossilized and part of the speakers language and it will be an error the speaker always producesbrRussian is a grammar heavy language For most when learning Russian it may be the first time they are introduced to the case system So it makes sense why most focus on grammar when learning Russian Comment from : @cryptoidalchemist6980 |

It depends a lot on your native languagebrWith Portuguese as a basis, you are able to learn basically any other language But I see people all over the world committing the same mistake over and over again: learning Spanish as a second language That is the same as giving an AK47 shot straight into your linguistic abilities, which will rest in peace stucked into castellano Comment from : @edgarm9767 |
|
|
Your videos are greatbrMotivational and informative! Comment from : @jamesb8365 |

It depends on the language In Russian, if you confuse the ending, the meaning of the phrase may turn over English in this sense is easier, he forgives mistakes Comment from : @AlexFG24 |
