 Hi I dont understand why an increase in i leads to an increase in prices Let me explain my reasoning so that you can tell me what my mistake is If interest rates increase, the cost of borrowing is higher, hence less people will borrow, leading to a decrease in AD which eventually will cause a fall in prices Thank you

 5:05 What is the intuition behind the prices dropping if i rises? I mean how do the rising nominal interest rate actually influence the prices in real world? (I understand that this has to be the case algebraically)

 So, raising rates increases prices, while reducing money supply reduces inflation? So can you tell me why the Fed is increasing rates so much? Why not just do QT?

 But you also helped me understand that there is a mathematical relationship between i and velocity through the Quantity theory which to me is not intuitive

 Matt, pretty sure you can't have 2 factors change at once ( like Y and i together) ceteris paribus This is because a change in Y will change i in the money market
