Simple Just do not sell on ebay You sell a 5000 item you paid 1000 dollars forbrbrItem 1000brEbay fees 1500brShipping 1000brTaxes 500brTotal 4000 you get 1000 for a hour of your time if everything goes perfect The additional time of dealing with complainers and scammers and finding the item You make about 500 per hour while making ebay the gov and post office rich

I have a question, I just sold my first item ( not for much but I am still excited lol ) however I am a bit confused, it shows the buyer paid a certain price for shipping but what charged me is not the same amount ( it is a little bit less ) but as expected I was charged a transaction fee, do I need to refund the buyer any money ?

Why oh why is the shipping ALWAYS more than the estimate I carefully package and weigh each item BEFORE I list it But still the shipping is over the estimate I even reduce the size and weight of the package and it does not change What is happening? I'm using USPS ground advantage I use to move people for a living so I know how to package and ship This is ridiculous
