No matter how many coins are submitted NGC has and will always control the population This is the only way they can keep people digging in their pockets to keep resubmitting It's a shame some coins are given a lower grade than they should have however, it will continue in this fashion as long as they are submitted All these graders at NGC lets say grade a silver eagle at MS 69 knowing full well it should rate MS 70 reason being the major price difference and population It the same with cleaning you get coins back that says cleaned and for the life of you there is no indication of cleaning whatsoever They know their word is law regardless of what anyone thinks it should be Comment from : @claminspecter1168 |

I bought one of the random date ms65 st Gaudens double eagle from apmex a couple years ago and the first one they sent me had a bunch of black smudging all over it and was the ugliest ms65 I’ve ever seen Sent it back to get another one, seems like there is a large range even in the same numerical grade That 62 looks good to me 63-64 could have easily been put on the holder Comment from : @justinsnider9772 |
