I still try to amplify the list of roman emperors in my collection even though it becomes increasingly difficult as the percentage of fake coins seems to have incresed a lot during the last years while especially the former affordable coins that were often sold for 1 US$ or 1 Eur on E-bay seem not to exist any longer As nearly everybody I started with the affordable coins from the constaninian age From the first century I would recomend the quadrans from Claudius They can still be found in relatively good conservation for a relatively low price Among the late roman coins the half portrait of Arcadius with helmet and spear is relatively cheap and quite interesting for the way the emperor is shown Comment from : @klausbiegerfaccsnaturale1392 |
