I'm an electrical engineer, I was thinking to have a tablet for self learning since I'm still new in my job, what I noticed is that reading an SLD in pdf files on laptop can somewhat can be quite inconvenient when came to navigate thru pages, on the other hand my phone offer better fluid motion while I'm scrolling thru pages but yet again, reading an A3 size from a 65inch screen can be yeah LOT of zooming I'm considering every option now is it worth my expenses or it's just an impulse buying

I’m afraid I might end up using the iPad for entertainment purposes only and get lazy to use it, so it’ll just end up stuck I own an iPad Air 2, which is old, so it doesn’t have palm rejection, unlike the newer iPad Air models today The thing is, I feel I’m much better using my phone and ChatGPT to review for exams than using my iPad The only pros of the iPad are the large screen and how compact it is compared to my MacBook Still, I think it will just get neglected, and I’ll end up using my phone and MacBook for creating Google Docs files I’m kind of lazy, to be honest, so the phone works for me But I’m still considering whether I should go for an iPad or just stick to my phone and written notes (whenever I feel productive, as I think written notes are the best way to retain lessons) After all, I’ve got one year left and will be graduating soon, so I don’t want to waste money on an iPad I just need more opinions 🥹

I will be getting a tablet I work FT and am in grad school part-time Commuting to work on public transportation would be a perfect time to get some additional studying in and also during my lunch break I have two laptops (MacBook Air and Lenovo ThinkPad T16) but both are too large for the tight space on the bus It would be so easy to study for my accounting classes using McGraw Hill and MyBusinessCourse on a tablet An iPad is too expensive for me to only want to access these platforms I'm old school (graduated 20 years ago), I use a regular notebook for taking notes

Personally i throw out my notebooks after filling them up and being done with them after the school year -- So the ipad is also a great way to keep that work saved and you can also access the work after being done university if it helps at all

I'd say its almost necessary these days if you can get it It can make note-taking so much more easier You can do so much more on it You can pretty much only use it for all your studies, but store your stuff in the cloud If you install YouTube and Netflix/Showmax like I did, it can very much distract you

Definitely going to get an iPad, I’m starting chiropractic school in March The convince will really help me especially with being able to download and write on power points and there is many programs the school offers that u can download onto it It definitely will be a biggg chunk of money on top of what I will already be paying but I will definitely be using it to its full extent and I will use the idea of keeping games and stuff like that on my phone so my iPad is mainly for school use only !

Maybe I’m late and my comment won’t get seen but with an iPad or tablet you can download pdf files of textbooks So you save money there If your professor requires you to print something out and hand write you save money there on paper and ink I’m also very unorganized with paper and the one semester I did have textbooks, the semester was a drag Heavy backpack, messy notes… I know that’s a me problem but an iPad cleared that up for me Plus you can always resell the iPad later, resell on these things are pretty good Just like in gaming, if I can get an hour for every dollar I spent, it’s worth it
