I don’t think you should tell people not to continue to not interview just because you have an offer I just got an offer and start in a couple weeks, but I have an interview for the company I really want to work for this week, yes no offer, but if goes well I will have call the other company back and break the bad news You also missed an important fact that you can use a current offer as bargaining chip for the other company

I have tried The only time I was even remotely successful was when I got to keep my same wage ($015/hr higher than they wanted to start me, which would have been exactly what a new to the company hire would make) to do the same job at a different location

I have been experienced on interviewing in a position of BD with one of the biggest TrustTech company in Asia It took time around 2 months for 4 interviewing process including HR process, Manager Process, HR process again and C-level process All process always ask me about expected salary since HR process to C-level process I told them about my expected salary and tried to negotiate it And yeah, they’ve never been given any feedback to me After CEO process finished, I wrote email to hr to ask about the result HR told me that BD position will not be opened anymore because company has been made a decision to transform their organization No one get this job position until now It sounds unbelievable haha😅

I have a recruiter telling me since since there are a new company of 100 people they pay below, the industry, standard, which, even if it’s true, I don’t appreciate them already trying to lower my standards The difficult part is the company is doing amazing work, but at the same time, I don’t want to discount my value by a large amount or even really a medium amount I’m also concerned about joining a company with a culture for underpaying their staff because how does that speak to my future earning potential? The recruiter also talked about potential equity along with salary, and when she tried to push me on what I would expect, I said will it depends on what sort of equity package would be offered and I guess she wasn’t willing to speak to that and she said well maybe we can continue this discussion after the in person assessment and interviews and I’m like yeah😂
