my last job i worked at a firehouse subs owned by a couple got a new job, put in my two weeks new job called saying i could start earlier than original start date so i agreed and told my boss he told me i needed to stick my two weeks out because its not fair to my “family” to leave them high and dry like that the two weeks was almost up and mind you the owners were on a vacation at the time so this was all through text well that didnt happen lol i returned my shirts and that was that come tax time though, i never received a W2 so i called and came to find out those owners no longer owned that firehouse subs and the manager at the time gave me a phone number i called and called and just went to voicemail ended up paying IRS out of my own pocket will never work for a franchisee again
