I applied for help from the Gary sinise foundation for help with either car repairs or help getting a reliable vehicle I got my answer today and they couldn't help which I completely understand I'm soon to be 65 and I'm not able to work PTS and other mental health problems My question is there any other organizations that can help me with this I only get SSI because I have given up on trying to get any benefits from the VA and feel there are more deserving veterans I'm feel I'm going down fast, and for the first time in my life I feel like giving in If there are any suggestions please please let me know Thanks W Felt Comment from : @Mach19760

You know what makes me upset Is not that they are helping vets with all this money However I am a vet who is highly educated but can not find a job I am still young, youthful and want to work in a real corp job as I have an MBA (I was a Prof civilian recruited in to the Army, cut of age was 42 back in those day and I had my MBA) and I am working on my 2nd Masters brbrIf US Gov really wants to help Vets like my self they should help us get a job (Fellowship/Internship that will translate into a perm job) Not play all these games saying we give Vet preference in these companies only to apply multiple times with a resume built by professionals and still not be considered for any role that is relevant and matches your edu brbrI am broke, poor Vet not became i am lazy Not because I don't want to work But because I can find a meaningful career opportunity/ job I have been applying all over Networking LinkedIn etc I even know Wells Fargo vet recruiter who I work with when applying for positions here in CA, and still no offers brbrin 2 years I will be out of GI bill If I don't have a job I am toast !brbrI am still positive and hopeful but I feel US GOV can do more to help Vets like me who just want a break, a relevant career break related to what we when to Uni for A good paying job So that I can have a decent life to look fwd to Comment from : @Zul1788

You have to be at or below the poverty limit to qualify or actually be living in a homeless shelter, I been getting $460 a month Nevada Energy bills, January, February,March for a 535 square foot 1 bedroom apartment, and according to my apartment manager, and NV Energy there's nothing anyone can do so I have to keep paying $460 a month energy bill It eats up my VA C$P for 100 so much for the 2023 cost of living increase Comment from : @luciantyroneadams4234

SSVF is awesome They helped me get an apartment through the counties housing program, they got me a brand new serta bed, a bunch of dishes and kitchenware, towels, blankets, all kinds of stuff to assist furnishing the apartment They are very helpful!
