I'm from Brazil and I study in English it sucks on vacation there is no vacation it's two days a week for a whole week of lessons you have to repeat the same thing about 100 times and You have to repeat all of this in the end so you have 200 lessons per stage and that's over 21 stages

Kumon does not help at all with the modern math curriculum They just give us packets of work with examples which, for problems in the later levels, are entirely useless once you go to the back of a page On top of that, the Kumon work now, is based off an older old math curriculum It only helps for elementary school, Precalculus, and Calculus, which are for most people your 3rd and/or 4th years of high school That is a giant 4 year gap filled entirely with useless crap we won't be using in schools nowadays As a former high school student myself, I was doing my grade level math in Kumon and it is entirely different than what we did, which begs the question: What the f**k is the point of this s**t?

I don’t know why everyone hates kumon so much brIt actually teaches you a lot of stuff in advance and I am getting really good grades at school, making me the top ones of my classes I have only done kumon for about two years, starting in 4th grade and I am doing 9th grade math and reading according to the internet and all the teachers reply on when they did these things brHowever, if u are lazy and isn’t able to take out an hour or two of your day to do kumon, you won’t make it and that is your fault brThe homework isn’t too bad after a while because you will get used to itbrWhen you just begin, it is just things you already know, but afterwards, you learn a lot more

I go to kumon and I hate it, it might seem like I'm just a brat who hates learning, but it's so fucking useless you don't even use anything you learn in there and it's a fucking waste of time and money Everytime I tell my mom I want to quit but she says that I'm just too lazy to do it and that it's for my own good, like wtf brBut that really depends on how old you are because it could be helpful to like 5 year olds who still dont know any of the basics but I'm twelve and already know how to read and write and understand english and all that homework just gives me stress so I sometimes end up copying the answers and make a few mistakes so they won't notice It also doesn't teach you any skills that is required in an English assessment which makes it even more pointless

I noticed that there are a lot of people complaining about how their teachers are horribleand the work sucksbrbrI would say that the Kumon center over at Daly City is nothing like that, so lucky me Sure, it’s kinda boring in the early levels, but once you get to level G, I assure you that everything you learn after that will help you at school immensely I only took Math btw The teachers in charge of the students in level G and up are literally super geniuses and are more than happy to help you I wish I didn’t leave Kumon at the end of Freshmen yearthanks to Kumon, I breezed through Middle School and the first two years of High School math Heck, one of my classmates finished the entire curriculum and is now breezing through Calculus
