Guys, please just shut up and stop saying that kumon’s bad Because it’s not! Yes there aren’t any problem solving skills involved ,but it still helps you with mental maths and teaches you algebra, geometry etc If you don’t like kumon, you should probably stop complaining and go study before you don’t turn into a completely lazy and uneducated person

The kumon instructor asked me to use redundant and out dated methods and they started an honors 8th grader (basically 9th grader skill wise) at addition A1 it sucks also being religiously and socially insensitive by not giving weekends (Sabbath and Sunday) and not halting over winter break causing over hauls and pauses in life and just weighing down on mebrIts also been proven that timed sheets deteriorate mental health and actual cohesiveness to the material causing angry parents disappointed adults and frustrated students KUMON is not good any parent watching this please don't br brbrI quit tomorrow with or without consent as I have enough to do and that's only going to grow

KUMON doesn't develop the concept, they give basic addition, subtraction, division and multiplication It is just the memorization In addition, Kumon dosen't follow the Canadian curriculum brbrAs the students don't develop the concept of the problem, later one the students struggle a lot throughout their academic life

When I started I was 12 and had to begin with addition and subtraction I didn't like it because it was embarrassing especially since my "tutor" was only a year or two older than me By the time I harassed my mom to take me out of it I was able to add subtract multiply and divide any number within a few secondsI had not real use for a calculator6 months after being able to do this and not practicing I would probably not have been able to calculate at the same speed

I spent $1500 on with 2 "conferences" by phone with the owner My 10 yr old daughter did improve in calculations in addition and subtraction But, when we took a month break on account of her refusal to do the rote problems, and when I asked another testing 30 days later, I was told not ready for multiplication and had to go back to simple addition and subtraction from six months later You pay for your child to do it ALL OVER AGAIN!
