This is not how banking or finance works Consumer unsecured loans (like this one) are not collateralized, so they can't foreclose on your house for example Additionally, the last thing a bank wants to do is go through the pain in the ass process of foreclosure They borrow at a low rate, lend at a higher rate to you, and collect the spread That's it

This is actually a bit of a misunderstanding Banks do not like it when you dont pay them back, and they will not loan to you if they believe you wont They want you to make regular payments so the interest will rise and you'll pay more than you took, yes, but they will only do this if they also believe that you will be able to pay it off Your debt piling up because they aren't getting their money does not help them

I know a guy who built a big luxury home with zero interest credit cards He kept getting new cards to pay off the old cards when the zero interest rate rates would expire When the house was finished, you went to the lender to get permanent financing and pay off the cards The lender said no! This is so real man, here in India the loans have such a predatory rate, my parents have a loan of 35 lack and it's interest in the two years comes to 782lack while the principal remains 304lack, this is a genuine advice, never take loan if you can't pay it back it'll bind you for the next 15-20yrs, ps we paid 12lack this year so it's come down
