I mainly use my iPad M1-Pro for productivity, photo editing and industry apps (that's heavily favored for Apple use) But the app that I use multiple times, daily is the Good Notes app I use Android for my phones and have a MacBook M-2 Pro I'm not tied to the Apple eco-system and probably can use the MacBook for the industry apps Hmm I might make the switch on the next iteration

I own a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra Do NOT be fooled that you would be able to hold it in hands comfortably for more than a minute I can tell you from experience that holding this tablet in hands is NOT comfortable and you definitely want a stand or lay it on your lap It is a heavy device and the large size is making it feel even heavier

Samsung Android user here Had to buy my daughter an iPad pro M4 because it's just better for gaming The Snapdragon in the tab s9 is the same as the ultra 23 which also struggles to run demanding games Just a smoother experience for gaming overall

After owning different iPads I’m going to buy the next s10 tablet I like the bigger screen for teaching purposes On the iPad when you split is just to small Also the multitasking is a lot better on Samsung It seems you can do a lot more on Samsung with the pen As far as apps I only use Netflix, YouTube, F1, Fortnite not longer available on iPads, and Microsoft words If your are not a professional, iPad is not the best Even if you are a professional I don’t know what can they really do I’m sure pros use the Mac and for showing iPads

Probably not a lot of people agree with me but I prefer the iPad's aspect ratio more for video content, because I use subtitles heavily On the iPad the subtitles go in the black bar at the bottom, it isn't put over the video itself Of course without subs the samsung is better

The Samsung tablet is way nicer , I just bought it today but ended up returning it because it’s so large that was very uncomfortable holding it after a while and ended up getting the iPad Pro 2024 Both are great tablets, luckily I have no preference; I’m a Samsung user but apple as well I carry my s24 ultra and the iPhone 15 pro max Loving the iPad but hurting a little about the price because if you get the pencil pro and a case you’ll be paying around 2k and the Samsung with trade in you can get it for about 550 or so

I am really glad there is coming more competition in the higher end tablet industry but i just feel the samsung is WAY WAY too expensive for what it offers The ipad pro just has better hardware across the line and has the advantage of having no competition with their os that has the edge in a lot of professional apps The things you mention can be pretty nice but they mostly if not all the advantages seem operating system related and in that case i feel like there are way cheaper alternatives that dont really sacrifice much build quality and have the same benefits Samsung just tries to copy apples lineup in products with very similar pricing while still losing out on a lot of exclusives only apple has to offer and while not offering much extra compared to other android alternatives

i agree with most of the things she said but if someone would ask me what tablet should get i would suggest still the ipad brthe main real problem are the apps Android is not at the same level of Ios for real productivity apps, that can do professional work brbrYou get clip studio on android too true but procreate , artstudio pro , photoshop , infinity designer all the professional level audio and video editing apps are available only for ipad Also to be honest on android i would use one-note or samsung note only Goodnotes is good too but the ios version seems smoother to me i don't know why You get also garage band by default on ios with arpeggiators and to do some music productions , you can get vst for ipad and full daws to record with audio interface directly on the tablet never try to do something like that on android pretty sure is not so easy work also better to read music scores, documents and books for the aspect ratio Even games are smootherbrbrOn top of that the new apple pencil pro got 2 customizable gesture and rotations sensor on top , not only the tilt and feel more solid than the S-pen You get a wacom digitizer on the tab s9 that it's fantastic the problems are the freaking apps that don't take advantage of it fully or they crash or they are buggy Also the shelf life of an ipad is much longer these are device that will cost you quite a bit better to get something that get at least 5 8 years of updates Also the battery / replacement parts are easier to find for ipad and so on brbrI'm sure that in even in 8 years i will still find the apple pencil pro , accessories and all the replacement i need for my ipad pro / air etc not sure about this tablet Mx processors also totally destroy all the mobile chips on the market if you do video / photo-editing they are crazy good brbrI belive that it's a waste to use these tablets just for media consumption , playing games and take some notes there are a lot of cheaper models that allow you to do it too not worth it if you don't need to do specific task with them or you need it cuz you want to record music , edit video , doing graphics on the go etc
