My mother is a full time mom of 4 She is always present and gives us so much affection We are adults now, all very healthy, have a strong bond, no childhood traumas, no depression or anxiety That's why when I became a mom, I immediately quit my job to be a full-time mom just like my mother She is my role model and i love her so much, i love my dad in heaven too🥹

I'm 55grew up in the 80s on the streets Single mom, no father in the picture whatsoever raised intermittently by Grandma and family members On my own at the age of 14 I suffer from so much C-ptsd! Glad it's becoming more visible Its a life long mental sentence!

I can honestly say I never remember my mother hugging me Having grown up in a neglectful, alcoholic environment, I am a textbook example of the anxiety/stress connection to such an upbringing Never had a loving relationship, stress eats me alive, and I am pretty much an anonymous, lonely mediocrity in the worldbrI fight it with hard work, sobriety, honesty and loyalty, and the dividends are the only thing keeping me going

My poor Mum was 15 when I was born , she went on to have 5 children under 6 before she had turned 20 She went on to have 9 brI'm the eldest and I don't remember once being told I was loved However I believe I learnt what not to do with my own 4 sons I've had an interesting life Learnt a lot or had a lot to learn Not worldly wise more personal but I make sure to thank the Lord for my blessings

Being forced into the foster care system when I was 7 and physically torn away from my loving parents and siblings because of supposed “abuse and neglect” when I knew I was always loved and cared for Psychologists said to the social workers all this family needed was help, but we never got it, so I was put with a foster carer who was knowingly only doing it for the money I was neglected, malnourished and alone, even being separated from my siblings I felt like I couldn’t escape or get/seek help because the supposed “trustworthy adults” and system had put me there in the first place

In foster's home for imaginary friends bloo has been neglected and unwelcome all of his life because his creator mac wasn't nice to him and can't take care of him anymore because his mom forced him to get rid of bloo because he's too old for an imaginary friend anymore and still has problems and has become extremely abusive towards other imaginary friends

A big part of this trauma can come from socioeconomic status which many have or no control over A large majority of people have parents that work long hours to make ends meet which means there is less time for family connections

I grew up in a dysfunctional household I’m 34 and my mother is great now But growing up she was depressed from being in a horrible relationship with my dad, she was quite distant and on autopilot mode, exhausted from working 2 jobs because my dad was an alcoholic deadbeat who was hostile towards us I have 2 older bothers who were violent towards me as a result of my dad’s approach to them I no longer talk to my brothers nor my dad My mum clearly has a guilty conscience and is trying very hard now, especially with my baby boy who she shows so much love for brBecause I understand the impact of neglect, I’m so scared of unintentionally doing it to my son I show him so much love but now I have to go back to work when he is 9 months…he’s going to be in nursery (albeit a nice one) 4 days a week I’m terrified that he will feel abandoned by me and will destroy his attachment with me
