That's a beauty A real eye opener for the aussie home owner We well feel it that we're being overcharged to hell and back and it's nice to have some confirmation and explanation The figures you give are an eye opener at both ends The massive amounts of money you can make at one end and the low rate you start with at the other $30 an hour is pretty close to unskilled award rate in Aus, near everyone/anyone gets that much But $100/hr and upwards is well over double what your ordinary unskilled person gets And when I say 'unskilled' they're not really without skills it's just that they're low paid skills, process working, food handling, security work all kinds of stuffbrYou never seemed to mention the award system in Aus or I missed it Perhaps it doesn't influence you in your trade somehow? In Australia these days the general quality of building is down brIts very easy to get licences here now $$ talks If you have about 4k and a few references from a dodgy mate your inbrI've been in the building game since the eighties and us old school builders have seen it coming but have been ignored So many New products and systems that haven't been fully tested out there and Now new units are crumbling, houses are stuffed after a few years if that There's so much bs red tape and stupid requirements that add on unnecessary expenses toobrI wouldn't buy anything that's been built after the mid to late nineties Comment from : @cjod33 |
