Reality check RM11000/month (inflation adjusted) during retirement may not be sufficient in future Also note that EPF may not continue giving 6 growth Unfortunately inflation also may escalate beyond 3 Basicly, think of a larger buffer to be safe Agree the spreadsheet gives good guidance Comment from : @panda12683 |

Hi Swan, thanks again for the great video Do account epf funds as part of the retirement fund needed? Comment from : @chingwangyap7962 |
Hi Swan i really enjoy your videos & have learned a lot thanks so much for sharing My query is when i keyed in the retirement age at 58, the amount shown under "investment required" is even lower than the amount shown when i keyed in the retirement age at 60 with all other variables remain constant Shouldn't it be the other way round? Comment from : @cynthiawychin3370 |

Hello Swan! I’ve been on a whirlwind educating myself on finance matters So far all your videos are filled with great tips, pointers, facts and really helpful information No fluffy stuff so a million thanks to you Also I noticed you do read and reply to the comments and I hope mine does reach youbrbrI would like to know if this calculator includes the continued growth of the existing investments /savings post retirement age Because maybe we do not want to take out the EPF in lump sum Or we still have well performing stocksbrbrWill the growth of these continued investments be able to offset the inflationary increase in the amount we plan to use to survive each consecutive year of retirement?brbrThanks again for all the wonderful content and for reading this You’re a gem! Quick question Presumably u gona live another 30 years after retiring, will that calculator include inflation rate for that 30 years as well Comment from : @uncletee100 |
Does this google sheet assume that the spending can last us for 30 years? If I'm planning to retire earlier, say 35 or 40 years old, how do I go about adjusting the figures? Comment from : @chinliqi |
Nice spreadsheet & good advice The spreadsheet can be improved a bit:br1 maybe the "Age" a column D can be linked to the Current Age right now it is fixed at 29 The rest of the number can be adjusted by formulabr2 the first 4 rows (yellow cells) will calculate for the green cells the next 4 cells calculates the savings tables Initially, I though all 8 cells are linked by formula maybe they can be separated (maybe just me)brbranyway, good sharing keep it up Comment from : @ahmadrasydanodanodc8161 |
