Also, you don't have to "pay every month" It's not like some risky thing that if you forget you are suddenly screwed You just turn on autopay like with your cellphone bill and it will just automatically pay on time every time

Fun fact: if everyone paid their credit cards in full every month, credit cards wouldn’t exist Or they would but they’d either hike up merchant fees (which raises prices of goods and services as a whole) or lower the “rewards” No matter what, credit card companies have an oligopoly in the USA and Canada, and everyone should be aware of their dominance over ALL payments and are a contributor to inflation

The problem is finding a CC that gives at least SOMETHING of a good percentage All i have is a grocery card because that gives 3 back on all food purchases (takeout included) Good luck finding a gas card Outside that, you only get 1 on most purchases (1 cent per dollar or $1 per $100 spent) You'd need to spend thousands for that 1 to add up into much of anything, which can be too much of an incentive for people very bad with money and math
