It baffles me to hear that question of Rangers or SEALs or SF Q-Course or Ranger School All three courses are all different and can't be compared Three different animals But it makes for story letting of course I was always asked by your average Service Member at military bases when they see me at the BX or PX with my two distinct tabs on my left shoulder sleeve which of the two was the hardest I always had the same answer and always gave them good advice and to find out for themselves AGL, US Army Special Forces Retired

My brother went to the recuriter a SF buddy of my Dad called "John BULL" Bull asked him why infantry when you can take it easy/ He said he wanted to be a RANGER Bull was a very decorated SF E8 that was recruiting as he neared retirement, so he enlisted him in the infantry, he did basic, 11B advanced, jump school and entered the 1st of the 7th Infantry and was sent to RANGER school 4 months later never looking back He remained in the 1st Ranger Battalion until he went to OCS, 20 some odd years later retiring as an accomplished Armor Officer

Don't call them weirdo jobs Those people sacrifice time, deploy and provide assets for you to survive I was in the Army but every job in the Navy is just as important and can be very stressful Operators are getting on my nerves with how they think about the rest of the military

Could you imagine going to your first ship after OCS as an Ensign with a group of other Junior Officers and you're about to get your SWO pin and you're about to train everyone for the people of these United States And you have only been in 4 years folks have to reenlist just for E-5 going Battalion and Marines

Wish I had this guys mindset when I was 18 My dumbass went into the navy with a seal contract not thinking about failing 7 years later I got out as a corpsman and hated my life Only got one try at buds, never got a second chance to go back, and had little to no interest being a medic other than being attached to the marine corps If I had a time machine I would go back and join the army or marines and save myself from a 7 year prison sentence

3rd batt here 87-91 …I trained with the seals taught them land nav they weren’t great at land nav but they were beast …physically just beast …most rangers are skinny 19 yr olds who can just go the seals I worked with were just beast who sucked at land nav …it was still RIP when I went through at the old ww2 barracks at Benning miss those days
