Two additional comments as I'm watching I would agree with having rugs and maybe some frames pictures on the walls to cut down on the echo It seems like the echo would add to stress but it depends I guess on your tolerance for noise period the other thing I find very can lightning is that you both came from different home environments one of excess, and one of lack and you both have had to cope and understand how to live your life going forward Such as your husband's wanting too many socks and your struggle to let go of things Very very interesting and eye-opening!

He seems like such a kind and caring individual I understand your tears talking about when you had so many things when you were first dating, and I assume it's a little bit of embarrassment I feel the same way if anyone wants to come to my house because it's sometimes overwhelming of the things I have, even though it's not necessarily messy it's just a lot of things that need to go! We don't do rugs except small rugs that are washable for the bathrooms Kind of like ruggable but got these at Sam's Their brand When you see how much dirt gets trapped in rugs and carpetoh my!

i bought a thick and fluffy small rug to put in my kitchen sink area because my heels would get so sore I also have a kid who jumps from the top of the sofa so a rug is making his landing less hard and it s good for my neighbor as well lol

I love your channel so much Thank you for being so vulnerable with us and for answering so many questions My favorite thing this: Most of the time, when I watch videos on youtube, I get this pressure to compare myself to the videos, to the life shown there and I feel like I need to live exactly this life or I will not be as happy/successful/relaxed as the person in the video I get this overwhelming feeling of needing to own exactly what's shown in the videos and to change my life to mimic what I see But when I watch your wonderful videos, I never feel like that at all I don't compare my life to yours, I don't get the urge tu buy things to make my home look more like your beautiful beautiful home Instead, I get inspired to think about my life, to be more honest with myself and to be brave enough to be vulnerable with others I change things a little bit at a time to change my life in a way that feels meaningful and peaceful and happy for me And I cannot thank you enough for that You truly are an inspiration and I will never be able to express how much it means ❤ THANK YOU!

I love rugs but ya just need to buy a vacuum and rug cleaning combo or washable rugs brI have a small shag rug in my room and it was a cheap one from Amazon and you can tell cause washing it in the machine messes up the shag feel and vacuuming it is hard so I wouldn’t recommend cheap rugs

If you're comfortable in your own home and it suits your that's perfect IMHO the echo is incredibly annoying because I have the kind of sensitive auditory processing that just can't ignore it It's literally like you are playing the audio track twice with one a fraction of a second behind I need my rug to absorb these echoes as it's the environment not my ears that filter out these nuisance sounds

I feel your lifestyle definitely fits Europe a lot more than the US I mean, you are just living the regular life of almost all Europeans We went to Canada this year, and I was shocked by the abundance of everything that seemed like a money-spending trap to sustain a lifestyle that isn't necessarybrAnd you are very strong, and your channel is really great! I'm Team Rug IF it's easy to clean or disposable I have ruggable rugs now, area rugs, and before that i bought relatively inexpensive rugs that i could throw away eventually because the pets seem to make the rugs stink even though I cleaned them with a carpet cleaner so I just eventually replaced them I also only have 3 main rug areas: the foyer, my exercise area whichi is in front of a fire place, and the living room

Rugs in natural fibers- wool is soft, stain resistant and lovely to sit or yoga on( think of the durability of a good winter coat!) Many Berber & design forward Contemporary styles out there- check a low tight weave in a good neutral

This is a nice video I think, if your husband feels how he does about the dust, it's going to be hard to be happy with even washable rugs I would get a carpet to hang on the wall! :) But this video is old now and I'm sure you've already resolved this :D
